Welcome to the Ryanor's Expanse Official Starbound Modpack!
For multiplayer use or singleplayer use, it is fine eitherway.
  • This is my massive modpack I have curated over multiple months (nearly losing my sanity in the process, thanks Starbound community, but it is what it is). I have researched mods in-depth and done my best to make the "superior" version of Starbound that many people are trying to look for. Please tell me if there are issues, imbalances, or updates that break anything in this pack, and I'll be more than willing to update for it! I have linked my Discord below this paragraph. HOWEVER, I do not accept outgoing friend requests, BUT you can find my Server Representative in the OpenStarbound Discord, @voltanix_the_dragon24.

This pack USES OpenStarbound (but cannot work with xStarbound [alternative] due to dependencies)! This is a modification to the source code of Starbound that fixes massive bugs, increases performance, adds compatibility to certain mods in this pack, and even adds other QoL changes in-engine.   • In my honest opinion, I consider this selection of mods to be the very best quality for Starbound to offer, even though it embeds Frackin' Universe, I have balanced and added different patches to make the hustle quite a lot less confusing while simultaneously preserving the content that many of the mods offer.
  • There is multiple overhaul mods, quality of life, and more additions overtime to bring the best out of the game. There is a revamped crafting menu, research browser, and so much more to enjoy.

THIS MODPACK HAS MANUAL FILE SETUP FOR A FEW MODS! (REQUIRED FOR FDE!)

  • [REQUIRED] The Futara's Dragon Engine mod REQUIRES MANUAL INSTALLATION. Locate this mod on it's WORKSHOP PAGE and complete the process guided by it below. The .pak MUST be placed into the `mods` folder in the Starbound game directory.
  • [OPTIONAL] The 2K/4K UI Upscale Resolution, if using Vanilla, has manual installation. Locate the mod on it's workshop page and complete the process guided by it below if you are using Vanilla Starbound. However, IF YOU ARE NOT A 2K/4K MONITOR USER, DO NOT USE UI UPSCALE MOD!!! IMPORTANT NOTE: This mod is not necessarily needed if you use OpenStarbound, however, it can sometimes have complicated behavior depending on your display. I recommend using OpenStarbound and subscribing to this, but not necessarily "manually installing it". However, if your display is SMALLER THAN 2K or 4K, it is heavily recommended to UNSUBSCRIBE to prevent visual inconsistencies, whether you're using OpenStarbound or not!
