Description
tl;dr: If you replace an EPP's augment WHILE YOU ARE WEARING IT, you'll get the old augment back!

Augments are pretty cool! You just got a shiny new Fire Resist augment, "Elemental augments exist?" you think to yourself, having never seen such a thing before. "Time to try this out right away! If I don't like it, I can just swap back to my old Energy II augment!" you foolishly think.

Then you equip the Fire Resist augment and your old Energy II augment gets sent to the Shadow Realm, never to be seen again. Yep, that's right-- augments are destroyed instead of being swapped out!


Luckily, this mod is here to save the day! If you replace an EPP's augment WHILE YOU ARE WEARING IT, you'll get the old augment back!

Works with augmentable armor, combinable augments, modded augments, and custom augments. Does not work with pet collars, fishing rod stuff, or non-EPP-augment things.

P.S: This mod is client-side!
P.P.S: This mod replaces `/scripts/augments/augment.lua` so it probably doesn't work with Reuse Augments

I check the augments by its augment ID

do u check augment by name "module not inserted"? because i think its because of translation.

hmm................ when i fill empty epp i always recieve peacekeeper augment that costs 7.5k pixels. seems like its not normal.

Augments are great. Swap Augments are better. Swap combinable Augments are even better. will try this great mod asap. TY

@Sandbox Enjoyer EPP's go in a player equipment slot, so I know exactly which slot to check for changes. I can't do that for capture pods since they can be in any slot and there's no "Hey what's in this specific inventory slot?" callback, only "Hey what's in this armor slot?" ones

What makes collars work differently from augments? Did Chucklefish just make them different from each other?

Man, I wish this worked for collars as well. Sucks finding a new collar then having to tell yourself no, you can't try it right now, because you need a special machine to extract the old one first or it poofs into dust. Any chance you'd consider adding that functionality, if I asked really nicely? ^^
