Lyceen Race

Description
A hunters cry echos out in the darkness. With a flash of steel an a snarl the hunters quest is complete. He turns and hands you, your first spear. One day you too will call the wild beasts your prey...

The Lyceen are a race of canids. Masters of the hunt they pride themselves on tracking down and dealing with there choosen prey in a cermony they call the Wild Hunt. Lyceen are a race of bipedal digigrade legged humanoids.

Canids can be reprsentative of a Wolf, Dog or Fox.

Inspiration for the Lyceen is taken from Kemono, however all assests, save for the heads and tails, are orignal to this mod.

-=WARNINGS=-
Due to custom digigrade legs and a custom head some common armors sets will have issues with this race.

Once the Lyceen ship has the wolf head design it has gotten as big as it is going to get. Upgradeing it past this point no longer increases its size but only increases the number of crew memebers.

I believe that was due to animation of the digi grade legs when we did the original design of the animation. Since then the Lyceen were added to the big patch of special teleport beams that is out there. There is also a new mod that should fix the issue that was freshly posted not to long ago.

I'm sorry guys I missed the last 2 messages. If you release anything do let me know and Ill be sure to give you a link and credit for you mod. As to the areas they would live in, just like other wolves they would prefer to live in Forest and wooded areas. I do have some bad news I lost the files on the Lyceen race due to it all being stored on an old Flash drive. So for now this download is the only place the files exist. I do have an older Hard Drive that might have the files still but its currently not attached to a PC so only if something major changes would I have to connect it to a PC and deal with trying to recover the files.

hi @Asheru well I am working on making the lyceen there own town on a modpack I am working on and I was just wondering if you have any ideas of any planets I should build there towns on and also if there is a way to spawn there codex and if so what is there spawn command? But anyway great work on them and also I have to admit it but every play through of what i do I play as the lyceen either the male or the female variant due to how they are well made...:steamthumbsup:

Hi @Asheru, I managed to get working colony deeds going on a private project, but there's a problem with the dialogs meaning if they don't have a quest available they despawn when spoken to :steamfacepalm: working on fixing it up but might release it as an incremental patch (of course requiring your mod and crediting accordingly).

Otherwise they work just fine, providing rent, quests, and able to become crew.

Sadly no we never made villages. Should have but due to some issues and the artist leaving the project due to other things that came up I never did towns.

Two things.
First, there's nothing wrong with having the lyceen spear just showing up in their ship storage at start. But if for whatever reason they have to have it when the spawn in. Just make a duplicate intro mission exclusively for the lyceen so you can have your cake and eat it too. There is a more advanced scripting method to just give the item without the quest attachment but I'm assuming you don't have the knowledge to do that so the duplicate quest is easier.
Second. PLEASE, remove the warp animation replacements. Specifically I'm referring to the animation for npcs preparing to beam out or landing. The generic warping in space cinematic is fine, that's Lyceen exclusive, but the ingame animation is applied for ALL races. Vanilla and modded. And ruins a lot of them with the green lines.

Amazing mod - quick question though, while there is an NPC spawner (available from the penguin) this does not act as a colony Deed - so can't collect rent... Can Lyceen spawn from regular colony deeds if enough "points" of lyceen furniture are present? Are there any lyceen blocks to help with this? Not managed to get a lyceen colonist (such as a chef) as yet, only standard villagers and not with a deed for rent.
