Welcome, to my 'core' mod list.
Most likely, you've found this list via my stream on Twitch, or as a friend via my Steam workshop.

I go crazy with modding, the the point I'll spend days doing nothing but prep a mod list. To that end, just sharing my modlist would yield a massive block of mods that's hard to figure out.

To avoid overwhelming you dear friend, I have arranged all the mods I use in to multiple smaller mod collections.

This way, each collection partly describes why I added a mod, what it's for, and for good measure - I can add additional context in the description.

ALL of my RimWorld mod collections are linked at the bottom of this collection; to some extent the lists are modular and you can pick and choose what you want; or tell Steam to subscribe to all the mods on each list (remember to choose ADD when it asks)

This mod list is slow!

Bare in mind this modpack takes a while to load; it is obviously very heavy due to it's sheer size.
If you want a lighter mod load, consider paring away any unwanted biomes, vanilla expanded mods, graphics mods and work your way down from there based on mod size.
Most 'quality of life' and 'core mods' should be relatively light, seeing as they are more code based with little in the way of XML files. Longer load times when you start the game seem to be from XML patching.

What the Core Rimworld Mods collection is for
This is a list of important mods; either because other mods require them as a framework or library. Anything else is because I hold it in such high esteem I probably won't play RimWorld without it.

Use RimPy
It's a mod manager for RimWorld; load and save mod lists and mod configs, optimize textures, etc. etc.

All mods are for RimWorld version 1.5 (Anomaly DLC).
I'll only say that here, but this applies to every single collection linked under this collection.
Keep in mind that SOME MODS are not marked for 1.5; They are in my collection because they work in 1.5 despite their ModInfo not explicitly saying so.

After 1.5 launched, a lot of mods fell into this limbo state where they still work; but because the mod author hasn't updated it's ModInfo; Rimworld blindly assumes it's incompatible.
Just remember that version warnings are a SOFT caution; and RimWorld will still run.
