Kintetsu Railway is a major private railway in Japan. It has a total network length of 501.1km, the largest of any private railway in the country. Like other private railways, the Kintetsu Group operates a diverse network of businesses across different sectors. Real estate, hospitality, and retail compose large part's of the company's revenue, concentrated in areas accessible via the rail network. The largest source of revenue for the group is it's international logistics division, which handles both air and sea freight in 45 countries. Kintetsu Railway operates a standard gauge network across Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, Mie, and Aichi prefectures, in addition to a narrow gauge network in the south of Osaka and Nara. The electrification method is 1500V DC, with the exception of the Keihanna Line, which uses 750V third rail, due to being an de-facto extension of the Osaka Metro Chuo Line. Kintetsu is the only private railway to be present in more than one greater metropolitan area (Keihanshin and Nagoya), thus the company operates a large number of express and intercity trains between the aforementioned destinations in addition to the Ise-Shima area. It's ridership in FY2022 averaged 1.37 million passengers per day.

Crush capacity is used for all trains that allow standing passengers, as the design capacity of trains published by companies in Japan do not reflect actual operating conditions and are not suited for gameplay purposes. Capacity will be calculated using the following method, taking into account the seating layout and role of the train:

Urban Trains:
Long: 200% (175% for vehicles below 2.5m in width)
Semi-cross: 175%
Cross: 150%

Regional Trains & All Trams:
Long: 175% standing
Semi-cross: 175% standing
Cross: 150% standing

*Some data may be estimates if the accurate value could not be found despite thorough research, these typically includes situations such as non-distinction between normal and emergency deceleration values, or when the empty mass of a formation is given but not for individual cars.
**For types with only 1 real-world operational formation, realistic hypothetical formations are included.
