Description
This mod is to Rebalance certain items to Certain items in gloom haven to make them feel more viable. Based off of MandatoryQuest item tier list https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZmlkX0eAZ0&t=1512s pictures will be added as I find and test them for balancing in guild master. I am also play testing my own changes so I really would like your opinions. pitiflauticus and EmylRobin already got me thinking about the changes I've made or going to do join us in the discussion. I will continue to and pictures as I find the items myself. Any items in this mod is subject to change at anytime. If you would like to make a donation my PayPal is kennystjuste@live.com

When ever there is an update to this mod or when ever you add it to a save you must compile the game open the save. Go back to main menu compile it again and all changes will be applied.

Change list:
#13 Minor Stamina Potion Changed to 2 cards from 1.
#15 Boots Of Speed initiative changed to 15 from 10.
#22 Heavy Greaves Removed the Minus 1 modifier.
#29 Comfortable Shoes Cost reduced to 20.
#34 Major Stamina Potion Changed to 3 cards from 2.
#38 Falcon Figurine HP changed to 3 from 2, cost reduced cost 30.
#39 Hooked Chain Changed to a One handed item.
#43 Boots Of Quickness initiative changed to 25 from 20, Cost reduced to 60.
#50 Steel Sabatons Removed negative modifiers, cost reduced to 40.
#52 Serene Sandals Cost reduced to 60.
#61 Wall Shield Changed to a one handed item but shield reduced to 3.
#67 Balanced Blade Cost reduced to 45 from 60.
#68 Halberd Cost reduced to 65.
#72 Shoes Of Happiness change to if you move 4 or more instead of 6
#76 Chain Hood Changed to having 2 or more enemies gain shield of 1 from 3 or more.
#077 Frigid Blade add +2 Attack and Immobilize to a single melee attack. cost increased to 40
#078 Storm Blade add +2 Attack and pierce of 2 to a single melee attack. cost increased to 40
#079 Inferno Blade add +2 Attack and Wound to a single melee attack. cost increased to 40
#080 Tremor Blade add +2 Attack and Poison to a single melee attack. cost increased to 40
#081 Brilliant Blade to add +2 Attack and Muddle to a single melee attack. cost increased to 40
#082 Night Blade add +2 Attack and Curse to a single melee attack. cost increased to 40
#089 Minor Cure Potion Now has a heal of 1 after removing a negative effect.
#090 Major Cure Potion Now has a heal of 2 after removing all negative effects.
#92 Dampening Ring Changed to spent from consumed.
#98 Drake scale Boots also Gives you immunity to immobilize and effects of item #22
#100 Robes of Summoning 2 separate heals of 1. (will be changed)
#103 Drake scale Armor Enemies gain disadvantage when targeting you and current effects
#108 Drake scale Helm also changes Disarm into strengthen instead, when you gain it.
#109 Thief’s Hood Changed to spent from consumed.
#110 Helm of the Mountain add 2 rolling Earth elements.
#111 Wave Crest add 2 rolling Ice elements.
#115 Mountain Hammer HP increased to 5 move increased to 2.
#116 Fueled Falchion Changed to spent from consumed Cost increased to 60
#118 Staff of Element Changed to one handed. cost increased to 60
#120 Staff Of Summoning Changed to One Handed.
#121 Orb Of Dawn Also adds 2 rolling infuse Dark cards to you modifier deck
#122 Orb Of Twilight Dawn Also adds 2 rolling infuse sun cards to your modifier deck.
#123 Ring Of Skulls HP changed to 4 from 3 cost reduced to 40.
#125 Curious Gear Change to a spent item will disarm one trap with in a range of 3 cost to 30.
#127 Giant Remote Spider Changed to spent from consumed cost reduced to 40.
#128 Black Censer Range changed to 3 from 2 Cost reduced to 40
#129 Black Card Can now also be used against boss enemies and at a range of 3
#132 Power Core HP changed to 6 from 5 move changed to 3.
#133 Resonant Crystal Changed to a spent item from Consumed.
Pendant of dark packets now is a permanently loss item
second chance ring now permanently loss item

A lot of the reasoning for these changes are in MandatoryQuest video please don't ask him about these changes because I made these up by myself and I just agree with his statements.

So I try to apply this mod. I create the rule-set with this. I hit compile. Then I load the save of my game. It just stays on the game loading screen forever. I just want the Stamina potions to be fixed. Please help as I would like to use this mod, but I can't get it to work with my existing save.

@Oarchid0 Black Card is fixed and the elemental blades. Could you tell me if the description are fixed for the other items since I don't have them yet

@Oarchid0 for the orbs in particular when I was play testing them with the sun and eclipse characters they felt relatively strong when ever you got them. it felt like they were the best hand items for the character so I decided to make them give the opposite element. Because there is no light without darkness or darkness with out light. Plus this allowed for the sun and eclipse to better support each other or other characters that want these elements to do the same.

@Oarchid0 Thank you, I actually notice that there was something wrong with the drake scale items. it seems that some items that needed text changes to their descriptions got messed up I actually was using a round about way to fix it (if you look at the cure potions and their descriptions). I don't know why I code them correctly but I'm take a look at everything and try to fix these. I appreciate you taking a look.

An observation I have is that I would have expected the elemental Orbs to add rolling modifiers for the elements they produce rather than consume, so the Orb of Dawn would add 2 rolling Light cards to your deck and the Orb of Twilight add Dark. Just an opinion of course, but seemed more in line with the theme of the item.

There is a bug in the LangUpdate.csv file. The value for item_blackcard_1 only has a double quote at the end so the subsequent strings are messed up:

item_blackcard_1,Choose one normal or elite or boss enemy within <nobr>Range <sprite name=Range> 3.</nobr>"

It needs a quote at the start (or remove the end one)

item_blackcard_1, " Choose one normal or elite or boss enemy within <nobr>Range <sprite name=Range> 3.</nobr>"

Just double checked and some of the item cards are being updated. The ones that are not are:

Black Censer
All 3 Drakescale items
All 6 Blades
Robes of Summoning

The rest are updated fine, I'll continue digging...

I am not seeing the LangUpdate.csv changes on the cards in the Merchant. The prices are being updated so I know the mod is being picked up, but no text changes on the cards. I have started a new ruleset and used this and the SeeAllItems mod only to check out all the cards and none of them have the new text. I am running patch 26154. Do you have any idea why this could be happening?

I can see from your screenshots that they work for you so wondering what I could be doing wrong

which item did you see that on and i also use notepad++
