Why not keep all the additions from 2 and 3000? At the very least, manual normal map setting, phong and rimlighting would have been real nice.

Ope, i meant use the asset browser in the C menu, if you open the half life 2 assets, they'll show up for everyone.
I find the footstep sound override to be a very interesting feature, it really helps you sell the idea that your plastic phx prop is actually something else and not plastic, especially if you pair it with the physical properties tool too. The only remaining tell that the prop you're looking at isn't actually the material you make it pretend to be is player damage impact effects. Hits from melee or bullets still makes the impact sounds of the original material.

Since it's possible to change the footstep sounds, could there also be an option added to change the bullet impact sounds?
