Cinco de Mayo update: Texan mainstream units completed (for now), Mexico and USA are expected to receive all units by 7 May.

So how does this mod work, anyway?

Cavalry: European cavalry form the gold standard, but......

Asian cavalry: legacy heavy cavalry are slow but heavily armoured, occasionally with less or more HP. Low tier cav have less HP, and upper tiers (Shahsevan, Huangying) have more.

American cavalry: strong light cavalry traditions. All American units have lower HP than European ones but....

- USA has higher range, sometimes higher attack.
- Texan units: higher speed and train time?
- Mexico: higher LOS, added attack versus enemy infantry

What about Russia?
- Russia probably expects to get high recruitment speed, and better attack. All Cossack units should have an attack bonus versus supplies, merchants, and so forth, making Persia, Russia and Korea crazy good.

Swiss units now have a new skin that uses the historic red coats given to them by the Kingdom of France.

- Kentucky Mounted Riflemen recast as Confederados (by right Texas should ALSO get this guy).
- Slowly adding audio for Texas but we aren't there yet. But at least, Volunteer Horse now have voices.
- Swiss Guards now use the vanilla Musket for their appearance (but I do want to find a replacement by Azangara for them).

Added some graphics for a new American dragoon (???) unit but unsure how to proceed. Theoretically we can have the USA have 2 ranged cav units, maybe. But would that be overkill?

SUGGEST:

- Finish light infantry, once and for all. No excuse for holding back.
- Remove Rangers from Texas. But the Frontiersmen gradually upgrade to Zoaves.
- No need to fret about Britain since Britain doesn't get Zouaves.

Texas finally got its full complement of units but other issues remain:

- Units still remain stubs, they are there simply for testing for now and stats, voice lines, and icons are not assigned.
- Colonial Rangers not assigned, light infantry system for this mod is outstanding.
(we expect America and Mexico to take possession of Frontiersmen)

Mexico, Russia, Germany, USA still have not received units.
Ghilman-pattern cavalry need revised movement / attack anims.

Set aside a new slot for Redshirts.

Items for Texas, Mexico have been added:

Last unit - Colonial Lancers for Peru, Mexico (callsign SPAINLANCER) have had graphics added but not implemented.
Likewise, Texan Rangers (callsign TEXRANGER) and Volunteer Cav (callsign VOLANCER).

Still many issues:

- Presidium, Partisans are incomplete.
- Frontiersmen not properly implemented (thinking of turning them into a an early game ranger unit that functions as light infantry for USA, Mexico.
- Note: Light Infantry not properly implemented. Also need to strip Texas of any and all fortifications.
- Thinking of removing Mexico's access to Native Americans, giving Americans and Peruvians greater incentive to Republicanise.
- American, Russian, Germany rosters not fully implemented; only Russia has received infantry units. Cossack units for Korea, Iran, Turkey and Russia missing.
- Vietnam does not have Serpentine.

- After a long delay, Iran finally got updates: Sarbaz now functions as a line infantryman, Iran no longer has access to Musketeers....
- Zaragoza, Tribal Militia, Halberdiers, Arquebus Infantry amended.

Line Infantry needs revision, Texas and Mexico REALLY need an update.

Votchinik and Ghilman transferred over from RKC to this project to form Merchant Cavalry. Unfortunately, the animation files for Ghilman are non-functional, epecially for attack; something needs to be done!
