3.2 Hours played
This game is more so a long movie with small portions of game-play, which under some circumstances a 3.2 hour run-time could be seen as disappointing for a game. But because of the story this game tells, and the depth that can be taken from what is told, this 3.2 hours was worth the money to essentially engage in an interactive movie.

To clarify, the game-play is still hands-on most of the time with having to walk around, pick up items, choose who to speak to, play a few segments that have an active new mechanic and do some simple puzzle solving, instead of just sitting through multiple cinematics without much game-play.

I personally found that I was happy with the game-play that was present, as for me what the game delivers that kept me interested was the narrative, atmosphere, setting and graphical style.
This game had me thinking about it after finishing it, and even going online to see what folks thought of the ending, plus what they theorised specific conversations or imagery could represent in the narrative.

I agree with other people stating that they want to play the game again, with a fresh pair of eyes after finishing it once, and this is regardless of any achievements which could be remaining, which I haven't currently gone back for, but I believe these aren't experiences that will let me see any secret cinematics or give me additional context.

I bought this game on the whim that my social media profiles were showing me cosplays of the characters and I liked the music track that the fans had started to associate with the game, and decided to bite the bullet and get it since it was on my mind to look into, and I didn't regret it, I was engaged with it start to finish in a single game-play session.

I personally recommend this strongly if you don't mind a short experience, a strong narrative, a relaxed game-play style, and some uncomfortable and gory visuals with some unsettling themes.

12.8 Hours played
I had been intending to buy and play this game since it's official launch, and only finally played six years later.
Six years later and I still personally had a blast with it.

The Sexy Brutale is a succinct and focused game-play experience, it excels at the things it wants to be well, coats them with a sprinkle of variety to keep things interesting, and does it with a stylish theme and vibe.
The story is engaging from start to end with deeper lore to find if you wish, the music and world setting is funky and exciting to discover, and the game-play is unique and fitting for delivering the story to the player.
The game doesn't overstay its welcome, and even when focusing on the extra content for 100% completion it can be accomplished swiftly as a nice package.

People who enjoy following an engaging and paced murder mystery story, world exploration, some degree of location back tracking and puzzle solving in the territory of perception and taking note of what you have seen during your game, will probably have a good time here.

Although I have nothing negative to say about this game other than I wouldn't have complained at the game being slightly longer to enjoy being in the Brutale's universe for more time, I feel as though my ideal price for the experience would be £10.00 or less, so I would advise swiping it on discount if possible.

Regardless, if I had paid the full £15.00, I would have still been satisfied with what this game offers, and more importantly to me, with the method and style in which it does so.
