I like the part where I wear a fez

When I downloaded FEZ, I expected it to be much like most of the other puzzle games I'd played, where I constantly looked up guides and wikis to finish puzzles. Much to my amazement, I found it ridiculously fun to use a translator to decode text in this game, use various perspective tricks to solve puzzles and do things I would otherwise dread in a puzzle game. I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by this 10+ year old game, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, though not a very long experience. 10/10 without a doubt.

The way that the puzzle rooms are layered into 2-3 difficulties lets you sort of scale the difficulty to whatever you like. You have the bits and cubes as the "normal" difficulty, the anti-cubes as the "hard", and the secrets as "very hard". Further, the puzzles are broken into rooms and "zones" in such a way that it feels very organic and like you are exploring (as maybe even a meta level puzzle) more than going from station to station to solve puzzles. The aesthetic of the whole game (art and music) is wonderful, cute, even wholesome. The 2D/3D flipping is unique and I am surprised other games (at least to my knowledge) haven't tried to build on this. The last bit I need isn't showing up on my map. Annoying, but I got enough out of it. 9/10.
