Hyper Light Drifter captivated me with its gorgeous pixel-art style and chaotic yet manageable world. The map may feel overwhelming, but progression flows naturally. Enemies and bosses are well-balanced, delivering a challenging but rewarding experience. Unfortunately, the lack of cloud save on Steam was disappointing, I started on PC and couldn’t continue on Steam Deck. Still.
Despite that, it was a wonderful experience. The achievements were and will be a torture, but it’s 100% recommended.

Hyper Light Drifter has gorgeous pixel art, atmospheric soundtrack and great visual story telling. At first, I was confused about gameplay mechanics and the game objective itself, but as I progressed I grew to love the combat and exploration. The only thing that annoyed me was chain dash puzzles cause I have epic skill issues with the chain dash.

Overall, it’s a beautiful, challenging, and emotionally engaging experience.

Hyper Light Drifter is not just a game, but an eye opening expirience. This game desrves much more, its heavily underrated for how good it is.
