Description
This mod can be installed mid-game.

Updates
15.07.2025
  • New options
    • Auto-Diplomacy will saves at least this value of influence.
    • Auto-Diplomacy only improves relations with player's subjects and player's power bloc members.
    • Auto-Diplomacy is allowed to cancel actions even when the target country has friendly pacts with player.
  • Optimized some scripts.
  • Please make sure the mod has been updated to the latest version. Steam often doesn't download updated mods.
  • Please reset Auto-Diplomacy first if you loaded an on-going save after the update.

Auto-Diplomacy
  • Auto-diplomacy will try to improve relations with other countries as long as player has enough influence. It's similar to the diplomatic macro-builder in EU4.

  • Countries that have friendly diplomatic pacts with player will be given much higher priority. The more populated a country is, the more priority will be given to this country.

  • Optional filters for selecting countries:

Subject Only: only improve relations with our subjects or power bloc junior memeber.

Minimum Influence: Auto-Diplomacy will save at least this value of influence.

Infamy Threshold: if infamy is high (infamy >= 25 or infamy > 0), Auto-Diplomacy will try to use less influence to have the max infamy decaying bonus.

Exclude Enemies: exclude countries that are damaging the relations with us or are considered as a rival by us.

Exclude Subjects: exclude other countries' subjects.

Min./Max. Relations: exclude countries whose relations with us are lower/higher than this.

  • There are two options for Auto-Diplomacy to use the above filters:
    - Start "Improve Relations" actions according to the filters
    - Start and cancel "Improve Relations" actions according to the filters

Auto-Manage Subject Relations
  • It will try to increase the relations with all subjects by paying them (image 2).

  • It will stop if the relations reach 50 or overlord's debt reaches 10%.

  • It will start again if the relations drop below 50.

Exclude Specific Countries
  • Exclude a country from Auto-Diplomacy and Auto-Manage Subject Relations by using the diplomatic action "Direct Diplomatic Management" on it.

Proxy War
  • Force a subject to conquer a state, annex a subject or nationalize foreign properties.

  • There are requirements and effects for game balance, details in image 6.

Advanced Subject Management
  • Extra diplomatic actions for subject management that are only available to player.

  • All actions have requirements and effects for game balance and these effects and they vary with autonomy level, e.g.,
    - Low liberty desire
    - Increasing liberty desire
    - Paying the subject or its pops
    - Having much higher prestige and army projection than the subject, etc.

  • Institutional Reforms
Force a subject pass certain law templates automatically and gradually.
The reforms are aiming to make the subject more suitable for investment and provide more workforce.

  • Placate The Masses
Subject won't have revolutions (not incl. secession) anymore.
Overlord will pay subject's pops (not government) to placate them.
Overlord must have much higher prestige and army projection than the subject.

  • Development Aid
Transfers money and innovation to a subject in return for influence.

  • Intervene Economic
Forbid a subject to change its economic system without permission.
Subject can only enact a economic system imposed by overlord.

  • Take Treaty Port
Creates a treaty port in a subject's state.
Overlord must have less than 2 treaty ports in the same strategic region.

  • Borders Delimitation
Selected split states between two subjects will be merged into one state (image 5).
It will cause a change of liberty desire of the subjects.
If the merging annexes one of the subjects, overlord will gain infamy.

  • Revoke Claim
Force a subject to revoke a claim on a state region.

  • Take Over Subject's colonies
Take over a subject's colonies when the subject doesn't have any colonial affairs.

  • Spread Primary Cultures
Add overlord's primary cultures to a colonial subject's primary cultures.
It only works on colonial country such as South Africa, EIC.
Subject's primary cultures must have different heritages or traits to overlord's.

  • Force important laws on subjects
Subject will pass the selected law immediately (image 4).
Overlord cannot have more backward laws than the selected law.

Choose Laws For Released Subjects

Compatibility
  • No vanilla files were overwritten, so it should be compatible with most mods.

  • Mods that modify laws might affect "Force important laws on subjects".

@虎纹2906973829 除了给殖民附属国添加宗主国主流文化这个外交行动外,其它功能更新后应该还是一切正常

@Anubis Well I know that's better, but when I created the mod I just wanted to dump all the different diplomatic scripts into one mod because I was to lazy to upload more mods and write mod description. I will think about adding a game rule to toggle it when I have time.

Because this mod is currently doing 2 different things, there is some overlap with other, more specialized mods - because of how this was developed there's no actual incompatibility though, which is good.

That being said - is it possible to add a decision to remove/enable the features from "advanced subject management" part of the mod (similarly to what is already done with the auto-diplomacy).

Alternatively - it'd probably be beneficial to split this mod into two, since the "auto-diplomacy" part of it is vanilla friendly and just handles already existing vanilla features whilst the subject related features actually add new things to the game.

If I may, not sure if this is possible, but when it comes to excluding nations from being managed, perhaps inverse this relationship?

Only manage nations you enable? I'd rather go through and pick 10-15 nations for it to manage, rather than turn off 200 ;)
