Yeah that removed the error, though I did notice meele.png when removing the dds files :D. Thanks.
Droll 29 aug om 20:46
Ah no worries, cheers
Jellypowered  [auteur] 29 aug om 20:43
I only mentioned them because those are the two most common was to generate DDS textures haha
Droll 29 aug om 20:37
I use either rimpy nor rimsort, but I'll try it regardless if it won't cause problems
Jellypowered  [auteur] 29 aug om 19:57
Delete all the dds textures in the motes folder. This won't break anything, dds are optional, the last update of rimworld added support for dds but they may use a different implementation than rimpy/rimsort dds generation.
Droll 29 aug om 18:42
Well the error hasn't gone away but my game also didn't detonate because of it so I kind of don't know what changed to throw the error anymore.
Droll 28 aug om 16:50
@Jellypowered word of warning. I was using this mod with no problems but I launched the game after the update today and got a red error.

Exception loading UnityEngine.Texture2D from file.
absFilePath: /home/[MYNAME]/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/294100/2010945849/1.6/Textures/Motes/Hammer.dds
Exception: UnityEngine.UnityException: Failed to create texture because of invalid parameter

I have no idea if this error is going to cause serious issues but nothing about my modlist has changed from before today update. The file in question seems to be present and fine and none of the other textures threw anything.

If I get something that affects my game i'll update

Don’t know, not a mod I use, but if the mod defines its skills in a vanilla manner, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for those too.
Futstub 25 aug om 4:52
How does this work with Vanilla Skills Expanded?
Jellypowered  [auteur] 13 jul om 1:57
I lied.
Finally use the social opinion thought def
Add option to disable it.
Add option to require shared passions or not.

Last update I think for a while.

Hey, this doesn't seem to be taking the Talking stat into account. I have a slave without a tongue, and she's chattering away, but only with Craftsmanship talk events.
Jellypowered  [auteur] 22 nov 2022 om 19:44
Just unsubscribe. you might get red errors the first time you load up to play after, but they are safe to ignore. after you save and reload they should be gone!
Crimson 22 nov 2022 om 13:03
Not planning to uninstall but how do we do it just in case?
Jellypowered  [auteur] 1 nov 2022 om 19:37
Updated. :)

vanilla social interactions adds a similar effect as this mod if people are looking for a replacement that will stay up to date.
Jellypowered  [auteur] 8 sep 2021 om 8:21
Basic testing shows now obvious errors, however I noticed the frequency was much less.
CMDR Youth 7 sep 2021 om 17:44
Will Craftsmanship have any issues with Speak Up?
Reianor 5 aug 2021 om 8:28
It has some sort of framework, so maybe not.
Jellypowered  [auteur] 5 aug 2021 om 7:12
If the "interests" mod uses the games built in method for passions, it should work fine. :)
Reianor 4 aug 2021 om 8:47
Any idea of how this interacts with the "Interests" mod? (in short it adds new passions, most of them with a twist of some kind)
Jellypowered  [auteur] 23 jul 2021 om 11:47
I likely goofed my loadfolders xml, I'll fix it tonight when I get home. Temp solution would be to copy the folders into 1.3
Senso 23 jul 2021 om 2:01
thank you so much!:)
Jellypowered  [auteur] 22 jul 2021 om 18:38
Basic update for 1.3 in place. Life is pretty busy. Sorry!
DisKorruptd 23 mei 2021 om 22:20
So, concept: turn the bug into a feature: If pawns talk about a topic that one is incapable of, on average (99% of the time) they just react as if insulted, disliking each other a little more and getting a mood debuff, but on the odd occasion, it can remove the "cannot perform job" for that skill
Brutalbic 10 mrt 2021 om 2:01
@vorshlumpf I've noticed this as well, pawns with passions are just teaching any other pawn those skills, a little annoying that they're teaching pawns that aren't even assigned that work type
vorshlumpf 9 feb 2021 om 23:41
"Pawns will often chat about skills they both are passionate in."

In my game, this restriction isn't in place. Pawns without any passion in a skill will talk about it, even to other pawns who also don't have any passion for that skill.
vorshlumpf 13 jan 2021 om 21:35
I also think the boost from these conversations is too much. It would be nice if we could adjust the amount in settings.

By the way, I noticed a typo: "... spoke about amputating limps."

Hello!
I'm interested in translating this mod, where should i send it when its done?
dabeek 2 okt 2020 om 13:01
Award given, good work :3
Jaxx - pshoooo 6 sep 2020 om 22:42
jelly, i want you to know, you are an absolute champion for maintaining this number of reuploads.
Nishe 24 jul 2020 om 9:33
It seems like the mod is activating for pretty much any pawns, regardless of whether they have either a passion or a high level in the skill. Generally one of them does, but the other one could be a 2 skill no passioned pawn and they'll still have the convo.
wolly 11 jul 2020 om 3:32
Quick question - is this mod compatible with [D] Interests ? Thanks!
Jellypowered  [auteur] 23 jun 2020 om 19:15
Should have seen it a couple of patches ago... it was REALLY op then lol.
Kyrox 17 apr 2020 om 7:45
Thanks Jelly! It's mods like this that make the game feel complete. I'll give it a go here soon.
Jellypowered  [auteur] 16 apr 2020 om 19:00
@Kryox I've just pushed an update attempting to address this. Seems ok on my end so far.
Kyrox 16 apr 2020 om 9:21
Mod is great but it seems to be happening non-stop. The once pointless banter of two pawns passing is now always a comment about sharing skills. It's actually pretty rare that my pawns have any normal conversations anymore.
YodaDoge 8 apr 2020 om 1:16
not at all you got my blessings ;)
Jellypowered  [auteur] 7 apr 2020 om 19:54
@YodaDoge! Are you back to rimworld?! Let me know if you want the reigns back!
YodaDoge 7 apr 2020 om 3:19
Sweet!
