It would be nice to see a legacy edition. I understand wanting to reduce weapon bloat, but I miss a lot of the old melees. Especially the Chaos Blade.

I'll add an option for bleeding to kill later
please make an additional version of the syringe that kills over time
I liked the syringe because of this flaw, and I went around killing NPCs like Dexter.

Technically in the code the syringe applies the 'bleed' status from Blades. They were recently fixed to only limit the health to 1 instead of outright killing as that was the original design
I have a question: the syringe used to kill NPCs with 1 hit, but now it just temporarily damages them.

Final addon revamp is here.
-Reduced the amount of weapons. Go make your own :Myo:
-Added "Generic" weapon type that has no special effects
-Weapon unique status effects are togglable
- Combatants moved into their own addon
-Bludgeons now inflict a new status called 'Cripple' that slows players and deal bonus damage to armor. The old disarm system sucked and was annoying
-Spears now inflict Expose and their block pierce was removed
-Axes now inflict both Expose and Bleed at reduced effectiveness
-Staves lose stacks on blocks, but they only lose 4 stacks now. Also most staves have a new combo

Ok I lied for the 'last content update', im thinking about just doing a quality pass and removing a lot of the weapons to reduce weapon bloat and file size, then calling it. Lmk if any weapons want to be kept

@Kallux this bug was reported before, its likely a conflict if they arent doing anything weird when they died holding the MA2 weapon. I wasnt able to repro it so try sending your modlist or testing it with less mods

I dunno if it's a conflict or something, but in my server, if someone dies while holding a Melee Arts 2 weapon, they can't use the m1 attack at all after, and have to disconnect and rejoin to get it working again.

Don't want to add new weapon types to this addon since the code is still pretty spaghetti after the revamp and it'd be too hard to add it. I'd rather just make a new version, but I have no interest in that atm

I'm not sure if you're still willing to update this along the way nowadays, but I'm curious if there's any potential for adding thrusting swords (long reach, less than spears but faster and weaker damage) and perhaps other fist-type weapons/anims, I feel like the weapon types could be expanded but that's just me, I'm just grateful that this is a really versatile mod to begin with

convars to disable the slowdown on chargeup/swing would be nice, right now i can't find anything related to them in the settings/convars
