Description

A PvP-focused melee framework + content addon. Adds 32 melee weapons in various classes.

Features

Weapon Classes
  • Blades: Blades inflict Bleeding, dealing damage over time. Higher severity increases the bleed damage.
  • Bludgeons: Bludgeons inflict Cripple, slowing players, and have increased armor damage. Higher severity increases both effects.
  • Axes: Axes inflict both Bleeding and Exposure at reduced effectiveness. Higher severity increases both effects.
  • Spears: Spears inflict Exposure, amplifying damage taken by the next attack. Higher severity increases the modifier
  • Staves: Staves gain stacks of attack and charge speed for every hit, losing them on stuns/misses. Inflicts Cripple at high stacks.
  • Generic: No unique effects

The Culling inspired melee system
  • Charge up attacks to deal more damage
  • Throw weapons to catch running enemies
Rock-paper-scissors system:
  • Blocking beats attacking.
  • Shoving beats blocking.
  • Attacking beats shoving.
  • Attacking a blocked enemy or getting shoved while blocking will result in a stun, leaving you vulnerable for a short period

Controls
  • LMB - Attack (Hold to charge)
  • RMB - Block
  • RELOAD - Shove
  • WALK - Throw (Hold to charge)

BLOCK while charging to cancel charging attacks.

Backstabbing an enemy will deal extra damage.

Hitting walls while fully charged or hitting metal objects will stun you.

@Noodle I removed the old viewmodels, but I forgot some addons based on this framework were using them, so i'll add them back in a new update.

@Destruction I forgot to change some variables lol, itll be fixed later

Not sure if it's an incompatibility or what, but I can infinitely throw batons, but only batons, and there aren't any script errors. Probably gonna check if it is one later, but it's really funny nonetheless.

Is there a weapon list anywhere? I just started to code again and some of the old weapons are missing models.

ill look into it, the splatter should just use standard ceffect collision stuff.

Oh I'd prefer the contrary, I rather like the "splatter" it just for some reason goes straight down and hits the MAP and not any player placed object

uses default particle collision, you can turn blood off in settings
