1 year ago this tabletop game discord was opened, it’s been a long road and much had changed since then. So let’s celebrate together with a new update! A certain trickster friend of ours has breached containment to share some gifts and fun times with all of you. So while staff attempts to contain Nori Nori over the next 24 hours, we hope you’ll enjoy the festivities! Thank you all for a year of your support and the precious memories!


Glory to the Nori:
Nori Nori has gained a new prank for it to choose from, much to the dismay of the corporation.


Party Guests:
Nori Nori has kidnapped/invited its best friends to celebrate the anniversary with you all. These party guests are now permanent additions to the tabletop:

/Fae Lantern\
Nori Nori didn’t know it’s subterranean friend would be so popular among the staff of L Corp, with one manager even counting the days they’ve spent without Fae Lantern in the game. Don’t worry if you don’t remember the number, Nori counted them too! Here! Happy Counting!

/White Swan\
The master gaslighter and shut in herself, White Swan has finally left her bird cage to come join Nori Nori and Fae Lantern in their shenanigans. If things don’t go her way she will play innocent and blame it all on you! Watch out for any knights in shining armor who try to come to her defense!

/Portrait of a Certain Day\
Stolen from its original dwelling by Nori Nori, thinking it the perfect abnormality for such an occasion as the facilities anniversary; it did not take too kindly to being stolen away so be careful when entering its containment cell as it’s quite temperamental.
/Steam Transport Machine\
At first thought to be an air fryer by Nori Nori, it was quickly dropped in our facilities once its true functions were revealed. Though in typical Nori Nori fashion, it was not disclosed to us on the grounds of “It’s more fun this way”. Just be careful with this one managers.

/Hurting Teddy Bear\
Theorized by scientists to be Nori Nori’s old childhood Teddy Bear, it soon became clear given its current condition and the long term exposure to Nori Nori’s antics, this had to be the case. Still desperately seeking affection, do not get caught by the Hurting Teddy Bear unless you wish to be trapped in an otherwise uncomfortable embrace.

/Wayward Passenger\
How Nori Nori was able to steal away this abnormality from yet to be fully understood dimensional space we may never fathom, however it is clearly out of its element here. Though do not underestimate the nature of this wayward soul, as it is always closer than it may appear initially.


Employee Standee/Card Changes:
All employee cards and standees can now be drawn from a more stylized bag to better fit the Lobotomy Corporation theme. Additionally when picked up, employee cards longer have objects phase through them. Last but not least the snap points on all employee cards have been changed so that they orientate all objects placed on them to the correct facing.

Bullet Changes:
Bullets are no longer decks on the table and instead have their own specialized infinite bags themed off of the UI bar for bullets in the base game of Lobotomy Corporation.

R Corp Changes:
R Corp now has a new bag function as well, entities belonging to R Corp can now be found in specially themed bags next to their card in the top right of the facility table.


Changes and Fixes:
Tiphereth Core suppression has been buffed, now all active meltdowns trigger at the end of Tiphereth Core Suppression instead of only when event cards trigger

The Red Mist has been corrected for health discrepancies on her standee

The Last Helix has be fixed, as the anti-virus suite added to the table has incorrectly targeted and disassembled the Helix.

Chesed Rewards have been fixed to say that upgrades to stats can take place outside of rooms even in devastated layers.

Doomsday calendar has had its containment cell fixed and added back to the game.

Sign of Roses now properly states the correct defensive statistics on its dossier
------
You Must Be Happy now no longer has “May” in its managerial notes when decreasing or increasing stats.

Spore, Adoration, and Laetitia EGO now specify select entities do not contribute to devastation while this employee is in the same room with it.

Slow Bullet tokens have now been fixed, they were displaying incorrectly

Ardor Blossom Moth has had its Managerial Notes and Dossier changed to make it more deadly and easier to break containment

Mimicry EGO Armor ability and Gift has been changed

Logging EGO Weapon has been given an ability

Scorched Girl dossier fixed for specifying it suppresses themselves.

Fixed several entities that had their health bars removed by the anti-virus suite

Melting Love managerial notes have been changed to extend to clerks, as well as less tokens being required for a breach

Shock Centipede’s ability to lower its Qliphoth counter on a good work result has been changed to only effect the layer instead of the entire facility.

Rulebook now specifies that wander insanity employees will not move into or through rooms occupied by any entity. If they are incapable of making a move, then they skip their movement .

Reclassified Update



Enkephalin to Integrity:
Players can now spend enkephalin at a rate of 20 Enk = 1 Integrity, however the enkephalin used in this exchange MUST be subtracted from a single abnormality in the layer the repairs are taking place in.



Animated Containment Cells:
Containment cells now have idle animations, making your table feel more alive. As many animations as we could get ahold of have been used, though of course certain abnos will not have animated cells like Wonderlab Abnos or those whose idle animations are not on the wiki. We will be able to revisit this and slowly add more animated containment cells.
Skin Prophet has been changed to have its primary mechanic work based on tokens instead of event cards. Skin Prophet has also been given the ability to attack normally, lastly Skin Prophet has received a moderate increase to durability.

Scorched Girl now has an ability clause that states that the token transfers to a new employee upon death of the originally marked target.
------
Clockwork Time Roly Poly has had its ability to place an ordeal card changed to be another ability entirely
------
Lasso EGO gift has been changed to interact with the new EGO weapon ability it gained last update.

Umbrellas have had their health decreased
------
Nori Nori gained a clause in its managerial notes allowing it to escape when a bad work result is performed

You Must Be Happy has been adjusted to be less beneficial; it was way outclassing other tools by giving too many free stats. Additionally it has been reworked entirely and given states and animation!

Rulebook now specifies that Qliphoth Meltdowns now trigger when ordeal cards are drawn, compared to only triggering during event cards.

Rulebook now specifies how EGO gifts are earned in the rulebook

Rulebook now specifies that Piercing AoE continues to hit all rooms in a straight line, NOT stopping in the target room.

Quality of Our Lives Update: Part 2



Mission Tracking:
Mission cards have been given trackers to help players keep track of mission progress


Gifts and EGO Organization:
All Gifts have had there effects added to the descriptions of each card that is placeable on employees, this will cut down playtime due to not having to look at each abnormality codex card to find out what your gift actually does. Additionally all EGO has been placed into the same bag for ease of use while using the Bag Explorer tool provided to GM’s


Employee and Clerk Scale:
We have adjusted the size of all employees to match the size of the facilities hallways and rooms. (Down by 4 clicks of the scale button)


GM Tools:
A section in the back left corner of the map has been converted into a GM tool space, this houses all health bar, bag explorer, and other tools that GM’s can use during the session to debug or fix anything if needed. Additionally this area houses a particular entity that breaks if placed into a bag. (Do not ask why)


Devastation and Loss Condition:
At the end of each cycle every entity will take its “Devastation” value and subtract that from the total “integrity” of the layer it is currently in. Keep in mind some special abilities and attacks can also lower the Integrity of a layer. Devastation is layer by layer. When a layer is “devastated” employees cannot use main rooms in that layer to swap ego, buy employees, upgrade stats, or use regenerators. An Engineering EGO suit is available to everyone for free from the start of the game. This ego can only be equipped when a layers Integrity is at 0. If an employee wearing this EGO suit is in every main room of a “devastated” department, then when an event card is drawn that departments “Integrity” is restored to 50. When a layer has been returned to full Integrity, this EGO is removed and replaced with the “Standard Issue Suit” by default.


Event Card:
The Relapse event card has been replaced by a single “Emergency Repairs” card, this card will allow players to restore all layers Integrity by +12.


Suppression Rewards:
Suppression rewards have changed to give a flat enkephalin reward based on the class of abnormality suppressed.

Health Increase:
We have noticed that abnormalities of the HE classification and above are being suppressed too swiftly, so in order to bring them up to the threats they are supposed to be most of these entities have had their health increased. All Dossiers, Managerial Notes, and Standees have been updated to reflect these changes.


An Update on Eclipse:
For those of you not aware, Eclipse Ordeals are planned to be optional narrative endings to your Lobotomy Corporation Tabletop experience. Though as we rapidly approach The first of the Eclipse’s to be added, we figured it was time to tell you which one will be first! The first one added will be the Violet Eclipse, and they are coming next update!(excluding small updates like fixes). Significant progress has been made and managers will soon be able to experience the narrative experience it has to offer. But be warned, an Eclipse is nothing short of an existential threat level and can only be successfully overcome by not only the strongest of facilities but also the most intelligent. Never before seen mechanics and enemies will offer a challenge that is both cruel and unforgiving. So prepare yourselves, an ordeal like never before will soon await you. In all versions from here on out an additional table will remain above the facility, this new table will be integral to Eclipses in the future.



Fixes and Changes:
In the rule book the definition of employees has been adjusted to be more accurate

In the rule book the definition of abnormalities has been adjusted to where form swapping abnormalities are covered by this new definition. Example being Nothing There.

The Crimson Midnight has been reworked. As such the Ordeal card has been changed, as well as the dossier cards for Our Joyous Hearts and Elation at the End.

The Green Midnight has been reworked and given a brand new physical design on the table as its new mechanic requires it to have. As such the dossier card for the Last Helix has been changed as well.
------
Sporebound Beast trigger has been corrected for an incorrect amount of possessed employees stated to be selected.
------
Spore EGO armor now protects the user from all damage “controlled” sporebound beasts do during an attack.
------
Re-Extraction event card has been given more limitations, they can no longer be used on tools, used on abnormalities that have employees still in its containment cell, (example being Snow Queen).

Queen of Hatred has had its max Qliphoth Counter reduced to 2 from 4.

Nothing There EGG form now takes less times to hatch

Army in Black Health has been nerfed as a result of gaining Devastation Mechanics

Refracting Targeting Circle has been given a clause to force entities to ignore this entity.

The Lamp EGO gift codex card and gift has been corrected to include “the” before its name.

The Sloshing EGO armor ability has been nerfed to being used 1 time per cycle instead of 2.

The Harmony EGO weapon ability has been slightly reworked to make it less abusable
------
The Faint Aroma EGO armor has been fixed so that it stipulates when the invulnerability is stripped.

The Fell Bullet EGO armor ability has been restricted to placing down a Refracting Targeting Circle in the same layer as the her instead of anywhere in the facility.
------
The Royal Heart EGO armor ability has been restricted to only being used against entities in the same layer as the Red Queen. The damage has also been reduced by 2.
------
Pinpoint Logic EGO has been fixed for using the LOB terminology instead of Enkephalin
------
In the Name of Love and Hate EGO Armor has been corrected for redundant terminology
------
The Lasso EGO Weapon has has its ability changed, allowing it to restrict normal enemy movement rather than dragging an entity closer into another room.
------
The Rosebound Horse now has the same movement phase priority as employees, this is stipulated in an additional ability on its Dossier Card.

Lobotomy Corporation 1.5

It is that time again, update time! This update will establish and implement part 1 of a 2 part plan. This update will lay the ground work and add requested features, tune the economy, and nerf/buff EGO and abnormalities. Part 2 will focus more on making things easier to find and reference for the players and GM alike alongside some other quality of life additions. So let us get into it.


Employee Appearances:
Managers now have access to EGO Armor appearances on their employees standees, so if you have an EGO armor equipped you can go to the “stamp” tool on the Tabletop Simulator tool bar and you can apply any EGO armor appearance to a standee.


LOB Economy:
Over the last 2 updates we have changed the LOB economy to be more in line with the original vision of Lobotomy Corporation with scaling upgrade costs for employee stats. We also increased the LOB hire cost for employees to 2 LOB, we are reverting this change back down to 1. It is our hope that this change will make the early game feel less punishing and give a chance for managers to grow their beloved bundle of nuggets before the mid game trials of the tabletop.


Event Deck Changes and Cycle Tracker:
The event deck and Ordeals have been separated, with Ordeals now spawning on select cycles and event cards being drawn every other time. Keep in mind ALL events and Ordeals are being confined to their 4 cycle intervals.

For your convenience we have added a dynamic cycle tracker on the top left of the board, it has functionality to allow you to mark which cycles have been completed and which cycle you are currently experiencing.

It also comes complete with states, so you can track your entire journey from one complete tool. Each state will also mark when a normal event card is drawn or an Ordeal is triggered every 4th cycle, so watch out for these icons!

To make the event deck more dynamic, we have added 4 additional event cards. The event deck now includes Qliphoth Meltdowns, Abnormality Re-Extraction, Performance Evaluation, Recruitment Program, and Relapse. Make sure to check out the rulebook for additional information on these new events.


R Protocol:
An Additional state has been provided to the R Protocol card, this extra page will show the strengths and weaknesses of choosing the Rabbits, Rhino, or Reindeer teams for deployment



Clerks:
When the Recruitment Program event card is drawn, clerks will be placed down under player command. Keep these little ones alive to retain a work bonus to abnormalities in the department they hail from.

Snow White’s Apple’s containment unit has been renamed properly

The Price of Silence EGO weapon can no longer affect targets that have an immunity or absorb status. When making this check, this weapon counts as having done Black Damage.
