Horizons Update



Competitive vs Cooperative:
The tabletop game has been around for a decent amount of time now, and in that time I’ve been able to see how it functions when players work together and work against each other in order to achieve victory. This seems to be the most common way players play the game as well as the most enjoyed play-style. So we are making a change, from here on the focus will be on providing a cooperative experience for all players and balancing the game around this.



LOB vs Enkephalin Changes:
Enkephalin will now he tracked on individual abnormality codex cards. EGO, Managerial Notes, and Defensive Statistics now cost Enkephalin boxes garnered from those abnormalities specifically. This will encourage work on abnormalities of all types that were ignored previously, as the old system did not require you to work with your new abnormalities to obtain their information and EGO.

LOB points will still be tracked and used to obtain new employees and increase stats as per usual.




Tool Management Tips Acquisition:
All tools now have unlock conditions built into their managerial notes, so this information can be gained by interacting with and triggering various mechanics of said tools. Tools can have multiple unlock conditions to gain their managerial notes, so failure and success can garner results.


Qliphoth Meltdown Punishment:
Failure to properly remove a Qliphoth Meltdown on a tool or abnormality without a Qliphoth counter will result in all Abnormalities Enkephalin counters in that department lose an amount of Enkephalin based on the meltdown tool/abnormalities risk level.

Missions:
Each Department has a pool of 3 mission cards they as soon as their department unlocks, they will draw a single card from this pool; this card will be a prerequisite for unlocking the core suppression of that department. This will provide plenty for players to do during the course of the game with the new economy system, and provide additional challenges for players to tackle together as all players contribute progress to completing them!


R Protocol:
R protocol is now repeatable, by lowering a counter that represents the current number of active [Garrisons] they can summon an intensity of R Protocol.

Each team is made up of 4 members

Mobilization Level Low- costs 1 Garrison
1 Rhino, Reindeer, or Rabbits teams

Mobilization Level Medium- costs 2 Garrisons
2 Rhino, Reindeer, or Rabbits teams(repeats allowed)

Mobilization Level High- costs 3 Garrisons
3 Rhino, Reindeer, or Rabbits teams(repeats allowed)

In addition Rabbits/Rhinos/Reindeers now have higher priority, this priority places them after employees but before insane employees




Damage Type Change:
Black damage will no longer be “reskinned red damage”, instead when an employee is hit with Black damage they will take an equal amount of sanity and health damage. Black damage attacks against entities without a sanity bar is unchanged. In instances where Health and Sanity are both depleted to 0 from the same attack, this will count as only triggering death instead of insanity




Simple Fixes and Changes:
A new Allegiance section has been added to Dossiers, this will allow certain groups of abnormalities/entities to work together without targeting each other due to behaviors. An example being “Guardian of the Black Forest” Allegiance for the 3 birds.

Added “Rush X” as a combat keyword. Rush X allows entities to move while attacking, and inflict damage in the rooms they left, traveled through, and ended their movement phase in. The following entities have gained this keyword:

Struggle At The Climax,

The Servant of Wrath has had their Managerial Notes, Codex, Dossier FULLY reworked. Additionally more mechanics have been added to make this abnormality worthy of being a magical girl.

Sign of Roses and its various summonable roses have had their defensive statistics/dossier updated

The Portrait of another world has been reworded so that it specifies that all damage factors in the defensive rating of the employee with a “Painbearer Token”

Added a clause in the Silent Girls dossier for what happens when an employee dies while being pursued

EGO armor for Grief has been nerfed
------
Various other typos have been fixed all across the game
