Update: 14 Jun @ 4:20am

[25.14/6] (WE2.0.27)
- Chinese are more or less done. Mostly. Don't think I'll be touching them again. Namz Yied and Au Lac are next owing to their historic proximity to China.
- Yelang units now have their own skins, being a mix of Chinese, Dian and Miao designs. But no units have been implemented other than Miao, Lac Viet and Me Linh unit classes.

Still trying to sort out Nanyue, Au Lac. Not easy but at least we squashed a few bugs more, and are trying to rationalise the bizarre cost structures used by Hong for the Gold fork of this mod.

Issues?

Roman units need a cost structure overhaul.

So far it's 3f2m, 2m1f R for Pedites, 4f2m 4g for Pedites Evocati.

Found an old tribal swordsman in my files. Wondering who else I can pair it with but IMHO its appearance may be tooa archaic.

ATTEMPTING TO finalise China:

- Cantonese voice lines added. Infantry now speak a mix of Mandarin and Cantonese.
- Icons added - heavy c-bow, Han spearmen should get new icons (I think).

New issues:

- Roman unit costs need to be rationalised, don't want having 0-ramp units no more.

Upliaded icons for Yelang units. Because ethis mod is now being seriously (re)worked but I am too tired to continue.

Update: 10 Jun @ 3:48am

Chaina is technical complete. BUT?

- sounds for some units need to be converted to Cantonese from Mandarin.
-Miao units all have the wrong icons.

Re-check Hammurabi and redo these.

NExt in line: Nanyue, Au Lac.

Wiki needs to be updated with all the stats of these units.

[25.9/10] (WE2.0.27)
After a hiatus of almost a decade, this mod has finally started receiving updates again:
- Mayan audio for supporting jungle units added.
- Various bugfixes, related to unit voice lines and icons implemented, eg Jungle Elephant no longer has a camel for a unit portrait.

SHIPS & ASIAN UNITS

- (for China) Unit portraits given to unique infantry. Chinese Pikemen had their models and animations replaced, with legacy graphics by Hongquancand being deprecated.
- Chinese placenames, AI player names also updated. Sites of importance during the Sam Kok period added.
- Ships:
o Various Asian factions - Korea, Funan, Nanyue (Nam Vied), China, India - receive new warships, these having inferior missile range, but are extremely powerful at close range.
o The naval recruitment system for various factions, excluding Greece, Egypt, Rome and Carthage, has been overhauled. Visit Warbirth wiki to learn more - updates are underway.

Update: 8 Jun @ 2:20am

- Mayan voice lines sourced and added. They were causing the confusing audio bugs revolving around some jungle units.
- Against my preference, items earmarked for project BDZG added to this mod, to create Chinese Pikemen (internally called Qin Pikemen). Reason was a graphic glitch where old skin had no armaments. Could have been my fault, but I felt it was time to do away with Hong's strange skins.

Update: 7 Jun @ 7:18pm

[25.8/6] (WE2.0.27)
GPIECE error being thrown by Illyria because of bad coding for ships, following a rejigging exercise. Issue has been fixed.
Work on (re)introducing Chinese-style shipping (very powerful, but severely priced) continues.
