BACKGROUND TO THIS MAP

My first map, 'Frisia Western Lines' was based on an actual train network and the desire to have a busy feeling terminus where lines would join.

However the open landscape did not work as well as I liked as DRS doesn't do expansive views well, so I decided to make this one fictive and work as much as possible to the strength of the game's features Another goal was to provide more action, so for example stations are closer - it's a bit more compressed GTA5 style :-)

The terminus idea was replaced by an urban style network and crossing routes to offer variety as well as that livery feel of busy train traffic + more industry connections for freight services.Thankfully, we got fine new set of Victorian Factory buildings which helped a lot to represents those industry connections.

Last but not least I want to prepare the map for future use, such as shunting and loading/unloading of cargo. Several stations and yards have features for this and there's a marshalling yard east of Riverview station for processing of freight traffic too. I expect I'll add another marshalling yard west of Harbord Central in due time.

Anyway that's it. I hope you enjoy this map (route).
