Ever felt like "Vanilla" Nightmare was too hard?
Maybe unfair at times?
Do you wish you could see sh#t after 2 steps in front of you?
Struggling to play solo, and got nobody to play?
Does your life begin at midnight twelve?

Fear not, this pack aims to make Nightmare an action horror game again, even if the dev describes the mod as an action horror game, we know damn well it's too deep into the horror, to the point it sacrificed the action part, this pack/build aims to claim back the action, while keeping the horror elements and feel, making a balance between fun and challenge, a more fair take, if you will.

With all of this being said, i must advise that this is a personalized pack above all else, even if my vision was clear, there might be stuff that i deemed as good to have that you may dislike, virse-versa, its the whole reason i made this collection after all, so go ahead, and tweak what you feel like must be tweaked, make your own version if you will, keep in mind my pack/build is more balanced in between action and horror, so if you want more horror, you might just want to go for Nightmare itself.

Now, if you are wondering "what's so different between the two versions?"
Here is a list of some changes between both:

-Different weapons, items, and sounds (to stray away a bit from the HUGE ammount of Cry of Fear content)

-Some changes in the enemies (Tried to gather a bit more to old horror media from the early 2000's, fans of Counter-Strike Zombie Plague will enjoy the nostalgia trip)

-A different menu (also you may now play survival, and you bet its so damn fun and HARD!)

-Catering more to a power-fantasy (Whilst trying to remain balanced as to not just make L4D2 but darker, this means that while there still is recoil and its still dark out there, you still have a good and fair chance to go through it all with ease, if you play your cards right, no more depending on luck)

-Different survivors (Totally a personal choice, initially intended to make an all-out RE or SH lineup, but i simply could not find mods that matched the feeling i was striving for)

And finally, what i deem to be the most important point, and what i see nobody even trying to do:

-Now balanced to play solo/with bots
I mean damn, crazy how people be sleeping on playing with bots, i know, the original pack/build has a ton of stuff that would make playing with bots chaotic and messy, and thats why i removed some mods and added some others, to balance it in a way you can play with bots and they are of actualy help, no longer will you have to play (completely) alone, with this being said, remember that i did not balance this around co-op and even less around versus, it should most likely work as fine in coop, but don't count on versus as it has not been tested so play versus at your own risk.

I would like to thank every modder involved and i would also like to warn that i have not made any of the mods presented here, i was only responsible to gather them all in this nice pack/build, to help people who, like me, thought this mod to be too hard at times, or who got nobody to play, be it for whatever reason, im with you brother, now go, and enjoy some good good AMAZING action horror zombies shooting.

Some stuff i wish i could've added and may or may not try to do so in the future:
More classic silent hill/classic resident evil sounds
Different characters that fit together from old horror midia (preferably from the early 2000's)
Revenge/Conqueror concert themed Dark Carnival (concert included)
Some sort of way to play "Rayman1103's Mutation Mod" (Preferably with the FEAR menu)
