New to the Cosmic Ark?
CosmicBreak Universal (CBUNI) is an action-packed MMO fighting game in which players battle against enemies and one another with highly customizable robots and humanoids.
Cosmic Break, originally released as an online action game for PC in Japan in 2008, has been re-released with improved functions and character visuals, major adjustments to game balance, and multilingual support (Japanese, English, and Traditional Chinese).

Arena
This is the primary content of CBUNI, where Cosmic Heroes battle each other to collect Cosmos Points.
The Arena consists of various game modes, all of which save CHAOS battles are team-based game modes.
Gather your friends and work together for a victory!

Mission
This game mode is for small groups and gives players the chance to experience character stories and battle powerful NPCs.
Some missions are limited to a single player.
Clear each mission multiple times to get limited edition robots and parts.


Quest
Quests give players the chance to collect certain items and Coins.
The three main modes are [Unexplored Planet Arcantus], [Battle Planet Bastagant], and [Event Space ], all of which involve fighting NPCs.
NPCs in the [Ground Area] in-game will explain the various modes, so please talk to them to get more details.


CHAOS Battles
Chaos Battle is a unique Arena mode that, unlike the other modes, has all players cooperate to fight together.
Players work together against NPCs in this mode, so it is easy to join these battles.
How to Play?
Tutorial
After logging in for the first time, you will be asked to complete a tutorial, after which you will be asked to select a Union to join.
Unions can be changed every Season, so don't agonize over the decision.
After Union selection, you'll finally be able to enter the wider world of CosmicBreak.
Follow the instructions of the 3 Guardians to proceed.
Here you will learn the most basic knowledge needed to succeed in CosmicBreak.


Garage
Areas such as the [Central Area] and [Resort Area] are called lobbies.
When the player is not in a Game Mode or Match, the area is a lobby.
While in a lobby, pressing the F1 Key will open the Garage.
The Garage can also be opened by pressing the [Esc] key or using the mouse wheel to display the menu and clicking [GARAGE].
How to Use the Garage
Garage Functions

In the Garage, you can manage your characters (both robots and humanoids), use items, and set up your profile.
Items can be selected by clicking the icon in the upper left corner of the screen.






Click on ROBO to navigate to the character management page.
The area marked by the pink frame in the image below is called the [Commando].
The character(s) set in the Commando is the one who will appear in the lobby areas.
The area marked by the blue frame is all of the characters in your possession.
Characters will be sorted in acquisition order starting in the MAIN tab, and when the limit is exceeded they will begin to be stored in SUB1 and SUB2.
Only characters stored in the MAIN tab can be set in the Commando.
Robot Customization
Characters can be customized in the Garage.
To customize an existing character, double-click or select the character and choose [Robot Customization] on the top right corner of the screen.
If you want to create an entirely new character by assembling parts you own, click [Create New Robot] on the left side of the screen.





















On the customization screen, the robot's appearance is displayed on the left side of the screen, a list of its parts is displayed on the right side, and its abilities and stats ​​are displayed at the bottom.

To rearrange Parts, left-click on the Parts icon in the Parts list.

Parts Configuration
A character is made up of a core part (BD), legs (LG), head (HD), booster (BS), and arms (AM).
Characters that are not comprised of a BD, LG, and BS (or substitute parts with booster functions) cannot be deployed.
HD parts can also be equipped with two accessories.
Joint parts (AMJ, BSJ, LGJ) that can be attached between the BD and various other parts.


How to Customize
From the list of robot parts, choose a Part you want to replace.
Parts which can be equipped in that location will be displayed.
The Part can also be removed entirely by clicking the X button.
Once Parts configuration has been completed, select [Complete Customization] to finish.
If you want to cancel customization, select the BACK button.
As BD parts are the CORE that make up the character, they cannot be replaced.

In order to get the most from your customization, you will want to consider Level Up and Tune-Up capabilities also.
Players can also add a more unique touch to their characters' appearance with the Paint function.

Getting Used to Customization
Customizing and tuning may seem difficult to begin with, but don'g give up!
If you need a leg up, try getting started with a RK (Rookie) robot.

RK Robot

Tuning and customization have been preset to make them approachable even for beginners.
It is not possible to perform tuning or exchanging parts on these robot models.
It is still possible to equip handheld weapons freely and install custom cartridges as you level up.
RK robots will be stored in your Garage at the start, so be sure to give them a try!

Union Wars Legion
In the Union Wars Legion arena, players can test out aircraft and weapons.

About Lobby Areas
CBUNI has various areas.
Each lobby has a variety of functions.

Union Area
This is the first place you will visit after deciding on a Union.
Here is where you'll find the Union Coin Exchange, where you can exchange Union Coins for various prizes.

Central Area
This is the heart of CBUNI, and players can access all other areas from here.
Players can sign up for Arena matches from here, where players gather regardless of their Union affiliation.

Angel Academy
The NPCs here will give essential information for playing the game.
If you get stuck, try asking them for guidance.

Angel Force HQ
In this area you can talk to various characters and receive missions.
There is an NPC for each mission available, and if you fulfill their conditions, they'll trade you items, Parts, and robots.

Ground Area
In the Ground Area players can receive quests, obtain items, and exchange Coins.
If you're looking to get items or UC, this is the place you'll want to go.

Resort Area
A rest stop for the Cosmic Heroes.
Events are sometimes held here, so check back frequently.
About Hero Rank
Hero Rank is an indicator of a player's skill level.
Hero Rank will increase based on Points accumulated by playing the various game modes.
