BMCE Addon - Hazardous Environment Combat Unit Remastered

Description
IMPORTANT: Requires BMCE and/or BMCER! Make sure you have read installation instructions correctly before complaining about issues!

How to install:
- Make sure you have installed BMCE and BMCE HECU models correctly (BMCE HECU version is required, vanilla HECU version is not supported)
- Subcribe to this mod
- Start the game once so that it can download the files
- Close the game and proceed to the next step.
- Go to steamapps\workshop\content\362890\2653538885
- Copy all contents of that folder to steamapps/common/Black Mesa/bms/custom
- Make sure that folder" 1_BMCERevised" folder is above default BMCE files. Do not remove any default BMCE related files
- if you have BMCER installed, it should ask you to replace some content. If it does, allow it, if it doesnt make sure you installed BMCER correctly.

"When Romka HECU arent high quality enough"

This mod started its life as simple port of this mod to Black Mesa, but eventually evolved in to its own thing to remain consistent with BMCER. HECUR now serves as high quality reimagining of classic HECU models. HECUR models are not based on any specific GoldSrc HECU depiction mind you, but it mixes elemets from HL1, OpFor and Decay variants

Additional features which require BMCER to function:
•EXTENDED GEAR VARIETY - HECUR has always been desgined for use with BMCER, for this reason that mod is required to unlock the true potential of HECUR. Without it, you will miss out on toggleable rucksack and holster, padded pants, arm mounted PCVAID computer, MOPP hood and land warrior headset.

Knows problems:
- Zombies have some minor clipping bugs ect. in them. This is because Yukon never properly finished them.
- This might make areas of the game with lots of HECU more laggy. This is because they are rather highly detailed. There is not much I can do about this.
- Because of how high poly these models are there is slight change they they might crash the game if game attempts to render high resolution decal on them (bullet hole decals shouldnt crash the game though). I have released optional patch to gis fix this though (optional because I know some people want to keep decals and dont care about occasional crashes)

Troubleshooting:
HECU are appearing with incorrect equipment
- Make sure you have installed BMCE correctly, make sure you installed correct version of BMCE (BMCE HECU version) and make sure you dont have Hazard Course installed or you have it placed it in custom folder so it doesnt mess up BMCE.
HECU arent appearing using additional pieces of equipment not present in BMCE
- Install BMCER, make sure you have installed BMCER correctly

@classic gamer No, it means some of their gear will have darker shade of green than they currently have. I feel like most people wont even notice the difference unless you have the new and current colors side by side. The darker color will make the phong shading these models already have bit more obvious though so I guess they will end up looking slightly glossier.

@Strategic_Damtics You are either installing these incorrectly or have some conflicting character manifest mod

Is this just me or do the HECU never have helmets, i've got no idea what's the problem. I've tried installing bmcer, uninstalling the misc files for bmce and replacing the bmcer hecu files in the vpk. I have no idea how to fix this, can someone help me?

When you say the gear will be darker do you mean the marines gear will look glossy like the new guard models gear. I find that texture design looks better for some models in this game. Not to say these marines look bad tho. Obviously.

@Даня When I get the motivation to update zombie gibs for this and BMCER

When are updates?

@razorscleo89 I can confirm we plan to do some reskins of these models in the future, but what you are suggesting (the glove change and using similar PCV to JoAcoNS's version) would involve remodelling which is entirely doable, Im just not interested in releasing alternative versions of these models. His texture changes would be entirely doable, but Im not sure if Im interested in doing those either. We already remade the PCV like I said and it does include shoulder thingies, but its not supposed to be remake of JoAcoNS's PCV so its still very different looking. Also JoAcoNS's PCV is based on a PAGST vest, I have the original model he used and its file and material names refer to it as such. Also the HECU gear is going to be bit darker after the update. About the Gmod ports though, all the ports of this mod and, with the exception of the one by Pyri, BMCER on Gmod are unauthorized and not approved by our team, but we allow them because we are not planning to do those ports ourselves.

@classic gamer No, no reason to do the gasmask lenses dont glow in real life and they already have NVGs as bodygroup
classic gamer 16 Aug @ 12:00am
Do the gas mask lens actually glow. Cause that would be pretty cool.

By Lime green for the cat eyes, I meant that Yellowish green that You see on stuff like reflective vests and I was also thinking about subtle scuffing on the new PCV because although this current one is good, it always felt too...clean? I guess would be the word and maybe side buckles. I wanted to say that there's actually a reason that it sounds like I'm having a suit tailored, because there's a guy on Gmod who can make these into ragdolls/playermodels and I would really like to use the improved ones when they're finished. I don't know if You guys are alright with that (the whole dude on Gmod thing) but yeah I also want to go ahead and apologize that I've been writing all these long comments, and I'm probably becoming a Nuisance so I'll get out of Your hair guys, good luck with the modeling and such.
