Some sites cache previous friends like Steamid.uk and Steamrep, I think.

Also yea, stick to PSN and other more "safer" sites, if it already happens three bloody times, than just ditch it all together. It ain't worth loosing more then just your friend list.

true, only down side is I don't remember much of my friends list at all, I never write it down but from now on I will, the hacker will not win a third time, yeah it's happened three times and steam has done nothing about it, at this rate I',m gonna stick to Xbox and PSN, I have never been hacked on them and I was with them for years, been with steam for 4 years and in that time it's happened twice, Gabe needs to hire better security
