This is one of the wackiest and bizarre first person shooters I've ever played and I LOVE IT! This Horror-comedy shooter came out as an exclusive for the 3DO, a highly expensive game console that was $700 at launch in 1993, it was no wonder why not many people knew about it until was ported on other systems with many changes added.

Known as the bastard child of Doom and 7th Guest with it's gameplay and FMV live action, I was intrigued when I first heard about the game from AVGN's 3DO episode and intro scenes. When I first saw this game, I thought it was some crazy hunting game where you go around shooting evil ducks and zombie hunters until I found out its about the main character who heads to an island in Maine during the 1930's prohibition era to uncover and destroy an Egyptian artifact that can grant immortality. What's interesting is that this is the first FPS game to feature the use of a Tommy gun, Molotov cocktails, and even the crowbar in combat (even before Half Life). The main downside is that the map design can be tedious as it can be hard to know where to go at times. My only advice is for you to remember the locations of all the locked doors as you will need to find a key which may be located in another part of the map.

If you're into boomer shooters of the past, I absolutely recommend this cult classic of a game as it received the remaster treatment from Nightdive Studios, the same team that worked with Bethesda to remaster Quake 1/2 and Doom 1/2. It is a product of it's time in the 90's when companies were experimental and innovative. It plays and controls far better than when it was first released and honestly, It's a major surprise this game got remastered and not end up as lost media.
