The title I gave is the tldr.
But to gaze deeper into what this MMO is.
+ Abundant variety exploring planets
+ Recurring characters from the numerous Star Trek shows
+ Graphics have a style to them, realism wasn't the aim and that's not a bad thing.
+ Casual questing, but fairly engaging
+ Great race and faction choices, from human to Klingon to Romulans, and more.
+ Satisfactory voiced dialogue.
+ Fair tutorial, making it easy to jump in
+ A lot of effort was put into in-game cutscenes, and that's kinda nice.

- Ground and space combat could be refined, but is something you get used to. Though, it appears that it's not the focus
- Downloading the game is manageable, but returning to find the 'idle connection error', and the game didn't finish downloading its resources, sucks. At least, what was downloaded won't need to be downloaded again, but the download percentage won't show you that.
- Railroaded narrative, not branching off with different outcomes.
- Inventory doesn't feel cohesive. If I hover over an item I'd like to see a visual cue of the stat comparison between what I've equipped and the similar item type I'm looking at.

Despite the combat, if you love Star Trek and want to have a little taste of something that reminds you of those "strange, new worlds", and its themes of philosophy and morality with sci-fi spunk, you might enjoy this game as I do.
It's 7/10 for me.

I have gone where no man has gone before and have come to the conclusion that this is a good game

Started the game as a federation fella. Went through the tutorial, it bugged out midway through the tutorial and wouldnt let me finish the quest. I looked up a solution. Turns out this is a semi frequent issue and i was supposed to just quit the game and relaunch it until it worked. ♥♥♥♥ off. Your tutorial to bring new players into the game should just work out of the box, its 2025 and youre charging money through microtransactions
