Its free.

Think of ground combat as story mode. If you play a 8 bit game you can get past that. Just remember jumping over the chair might get you stuck so...just avoid the chair? Think of avoiding environment as part of the game play!

Its trek.

If you install, create a toon, Press J. See those "Episodes". That's good trek content. That's the content you judge the game on. The rest is just crap they added to entertain people until more episodes. I consumed 15 years of content in couple months...it was nice free content, DS9 fans ..like some of those STO episodes your going to love.

After consumption, i left a tip. I'll continue checking for updates...i'll be on and off until the lights go out. My tipping behaviour will depend on those episodes.

Also....it dont crash.....

The game itself is okay, however I recommend that you stay out and away from any Event TFO's unless you enjoy getting AFK penalties regularly for 'lack of contribution' and 'not doing enough damage'.

I've been Observing these Events for a few years now, and here's what I keep seeing:
This arises from the Uber-God players with ship weapons that can and do reach all the way across the map--in violation of a supposed hard-limit of 10 Km for ship weapons and with damage yields that one-shot anything, including NPC enemies with 225,000+ Health and tear through their shields like they aren't a factor. I've been watching Iconian and Undine dreadnoughts and Battleships as well as terran Battleships and such get popped with a single shot from the Ubers.
You end up getting no shots in, or so few that the system assigns you an AFK penalty no matter how hard you try or what ship your flying.
I have no idea where the Ubers get these weapons and Impulse engines that let them zip a Vengeance class Dreadnought around like a Viper from Battlestar Galactica, but it's something that makes it impossible to compete against in the Event TFO's.
They cross the map insanely fast...not that most need to with their infinite-range weapons, and kill everything, leaving Normal-scale players like us with no shots or so little our efforts make no difference.

Play the game, but avoid the Event TFO's, that's my advice...you'll save yourself a lot of aggravation and frustration.

This game is dead. New content very rarely comes. The old missions are boring. The progression system sucks, so there's no sense of achievement. Combat is too easy, because the enemies don't scale with gear anymore.
