Level 1 please explain
Hello everyone,

I've got two questions in regard to the first level.

1. Tyler, when left alone, is talking to somebody on the phone.
He says (referring to the dealer), "shut that guy up for good. When? Now! "

Does "shut up" mean to kill the dealer? Is he talking to a hitman?

2. He also says, "he (my brother) won't even be able to offer up the dealer as part of a plea".

How was Cameron supposed to know about the dealer? Does it imply that Cameron was involved in drugs? Or that he had the connections and possibility to learn about that?

Thanks for the first one.

As for the second question. If Cameron know nothing about the drug, why does Tyler say,
"when you finish this little errand he won't even be able to OFFER UP THE DEALER AS PART OF A PLEA..."

From Tyler's perspective, there is a possibility of Cameron offering the dealer as part of a plea. To do that, Cameron must at least know about his existence.

So my guess is it's one of a several options:
1. Cameron knew (was in contact with) this dealer.
2. Due to his power, Cameron can find this dealer and rat on him.
3. Tyler said it hypothetically. Like [even if he knew this dealer] he wouldn't be able to offer him as part of a plea...
4. Something else

What do you think?

Cameron does not know who the dealer is. Cameron "has never taken anything stronger than aspirin." Tyler is under the impression that the cops can trace the drugs back to the dealer. If the cops capture the dealer, they can offer a plea deal to Cameron to testify against the dealer which Cameron may accept. With the dealer dead/missing, there is no incentive for the authorities to offer any sort of deal to Cameron.

Thank you, guys, for the discussion. This is useful, I am glad I could find the thread.
