Issues with model animations and bullet FX as a server client
So I've seen one or two comments mentioning not seeing any bullets being fired from specific turrets and I've wanted to a create a discussion to hopefully go into more detail and possibly fix the issue.

To sum it up: If you're connected as a client to a dedicated server or as a non-host local server client, you wont see any animations from any turrets nor any gatling based turret's tracers. Specifically the tellion anti-fighter turret.

I have already tried to rule out a bad install or incompatibility but nothing seems to fix the issue. I've posted to the space engineers subreddit and a few others have said they have the issue as well. It's also not isolated just to mexpex, but I felt like posting here would be a good start.

Any idea how to fix this? Is it an issue that needs to be reported to keen? Any help would be good.

Needs to be posted to Keen support. This issue became apparent to me as well since 1.187, but it's not something I can fix.

I highly doubt keen will look into the issue without more people voting on the topic or bringing forward more evidence. It may be helpful Pheonix if you could find something that -might- be causing the issue. I've noticed that with the shield mod fix they've done, there was a specific issue in the game code posted by the mod author himself. If there isn't anything that can be found, well, it's up to the generosity of keen I suppose.

@Bob752 Exactly the same issue here, have given my support on the bug report.
I didn't check here for others that had a similar issue, but I created a ticket with some additional testing and examples on the Keen page:

Hopefully they'll look into it soon.

Hope this can be fixed. The sounds on these guns ( and the looks of course) are the reason i love them so much!
If you check the bug report link I also posted, the bug is in process of being fixed on that end. Some have reported that its already been fixed as well (in the public test builds), so hopefully we'll see that released soon :D

I must say this was not fixed on Keen side to this day. The links to issue doesn't work anymore and i can't see any of your beutifull turrets shooting on that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ multiplayer. Well i guess Keen doesn't give a fu. :(

At this point, most weapon modders have migrated to using WeaponCore, since the vanilla weapon modding has been neglected for so long.
