I am making this announcement on the behalf of Mr.Nice Guy.
I was not asked to do so, but i feel the need to state this, as i help with the community here.


Current Mod State
People constantly report that the mod is having issues, and we are well aware. This mod is extremely old, and as time progresses, it becomes gradually harder to maintain.
At the mods current state, it is likely unstable ad the last update was a year ago.

The Future for this mod
While i'm posting this for your understanding, its important that you understand that my involvement with this mod is purely community. Mr.Nice handles the mod itself, and i cannot speak on his behalf on updates regarding the mod.

With that said, in my personal thoughts, its likely we may or may not see any more updates, due to how old this mod is, and how hard it can be to manage.

What to do?
The only advice i can give when running this mod, is to;
1] have TF2 Installed AND mounted.
2] run the mod ALONE or with MINIMAL MODS.





Why am i posting this?
The mod has gone under a lot of critisizm in recent times for being broken, and i post this to help people understand the current state, and future of the mod.

I do not expect this to fix the problem, but i expect it to help people understand the situation at hand.

Does mrniceguy have a extremely busy life or something and that he only has a small window of time to update the mod before going on a long hiatus? Before the 2022 updates the last time the mod was updated was in 2019.

I can't speak fully on his behalf since i don't 100% know what he's up do, but the last i talked to him, he mentined life issues.

While he did not say, i think its also a loss of passion over the mod. Like i said before, its a old mod that uses old code, making updates more and more harder to do without a rework.

Hey guys, thank you all so much for using this mod over the years, I'm glad you're all still enjoying it so much after all this time! I have been busy quite a lot lately, and the sheer volume of people using this mod still boggles my mind. I'll check in on it from time to time just to make sure everything is good. It's not dead, I will come back to it - I hate to "pull a Valve" on your guys and say that an update is coming "eventually", but that really is the case. I can't say when exactly I'll have time to push another update, but this is not the end, for sure.

Quick update - Vapenation and I have done some surface-level tests on the mod, and found that everything is functioning normally. A lot of the errors seen by the community are likely due to conflicting addons installed. As far as I can tell there have been no Garry's Mod updates that have broken anything inside the mod.

Lambda player support: The developer of the zeta players had discontinued zeta players and made a rework. There is API that can help add this

DrgBase and VJ Base Support: Loads of people, including me use these npcs. Drgbase npcs attack any nextbot but the tf2 bots don't attack them and vj base npcs don't recognize the bots and vice-versa

Also i haven't used this mod in awhile but i think there was a bug where certain bots just "not attack" after a certain amount of time. For example demomen bots would stop shooting there grenade launcher after some time.

Yep, that's something I'd like to add in the next update, a more robust friend-or-foe config that can support all kinds of entities for cross-compatibility for other mods.

legends. still being involved even somewhat into an almost decade old mod is normally unheard of. respect
