Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2

The Primary Instinct v2
Great Idea and good Movement Concepts, but the Animations feel off
It feels to me like most movements have a feeling like they are "rolling out a carpet" for a lack of better terms. Demoman especially feels a bit too flamboyant and not in the style of TF2, even if i'm not claiming the animations are "just bad"

so id say keep the concepts and intentions for most (pyro and spy feel a bit like a nothing burger) but completely rehaul them, maybe with help of another pre-established animator

I'd say that most of them, except engie and medic, are way too animated

And the Heavy one feels unrefined too.

Yeah. It looks a lot like one of those lego stop motion animations where they tear out the arms and use putty on them.

Sorry for sorta-necroposting. I'll definitely adjust Heavy's animation in the future potential update. Thank you guys for feedback :eli:
Although I started to see how Heavy's taunt looks unrefined after some months and looking back, I still not sure if I understood the Lego stop motion allegory, like it's jarring or smth?

i hope my post wasn't taken as a judgement of quality. TF2's artstyle is just very subtle and its easy to miss the mark. I gotta be honest, i don't know exactly what i would do to make it more "in tune". But it def feels a bit off
