Tomb's Player Body Overhaul - Compatibility

Mô tả
Tomb's Player Body Overhaul - Clothing Compatibility [B41+B42]

To keep the main mod light on updates I'll be doing all clothing compatibility work within this submod. Some vanilla clothes are too lowpoly for adjustments to the bodies to eliminate the clipping, so I'll be updating the meshes for vanilla and modded clothes with versions that are built to fit. As a bonus, the reshaped clothing are a little more detailed than Vanilla, but I'll try not to alter the original vibe too much.

Initial B41 support has now been added!
Please report any bugs or issues to the pinned thread below, TY!

Comes with 2 files:
Vanilla+
Covers basegame meshes as well as all other mods and has no dependencies. All users should enable this file.
Boots Expanded
Is separated out as it requires boots expanded as a dependency.

These mods work by slipping new meshes in on game load to take priority over the meshes in the base game and also for other mods. This is the least invasive way I can think of adding compatibility and requires the least amount of XML data maintenance, but what this means is...
  • The mod files must be enabled on the main menu mods screen and also in the save file if you're adding this to an existing save.
  • The mod must be below any other clothing mod that it's intended to affect.
  • The game MUST be restarted after installing the mod in order to take effect.

If you activate a clothing mod that references the files replaced by this mod, even if it goes above this mod in the load order, you'll need to restart again in order for these models to take precedence. They only load when the game itself does because they have no associated XML files. If these instructions are not followed the models won't apply.

Currently supported clothing/mods:
  • Vanilla models and any mod that references those Vanilla models
Plus custom modelled / edited items to remove clipping with:

All credit for any models that are repurposed/reused/adjusted for this compatibility patch goes to their respective original owners, listed above.

Safe to add to existing saves, but always be sure to make backups before adding new mods to existing runs!

Most items will simply just be swapped out to use these custom made compatible versions. Out of respect i'll only be editing meshes that are specifically listed as edit friendly or those I have explicit permission to adjust. Be sure to support the original creators!

I don't typically have lots of time to play so I'll mostly be relying on community feedback to weed out problems. If you see something clipping, floating, or stuff that just looks ugly, please make a note of the mod/garment/gender and drop a note in the pinned thread TY!

Is there any chance The Only Cure [B42] could work with Tomb's body reshaping? :)
I don't know exactly how it works, just wondering if it's possible.

To be honest, they're working together, but with all the clothes clipping on the sides that have prosthetics.

Yeah np

JesusChristIsLord - Interesting. So there's some mechanism that i guess the game is doing where if you wear pants, the armor model physically expands to compensate for them being bigger than the naked character. Equip and unequip and you'll see it happen. But this behavior is only present in the ingame view, the models in the character portrait info menu do not behave the same way. I also see the clipping in the info panel. I'd say this is probably a bug, yeah. The vanilla pants are even worse than my compat meshes as they are fatter than my models.

Even tho i can't do anything about it, thanks for bringing this to my attention, i had no idea this kind of system even existed. Gives me some ideas for my own stuff.

I need help, I have this mod activated along with the boots expanded, and another mod called "Vanilla Gear Expanded" now when putting on the police shin guards and thigh guards they appear to be clipping through the pants "regardless of pants" ONLY through character info

But in game, there is no clipping? Im really confused is it bc of b42 being unstable or some conflict or an error?

yeah it was load order, it was janked. I used auto sorter and it fixed that issues. Thanks

@At The Night Show - Boots expanded hasn't been updated in a while so the boots shouldn't be clipping, confirmed this on my end. Could be a load order issue or you may have just needed to restart after enabling the patch?

is the boot mod currently outdated? even with the 42.12 Body Location compatibility patch? boots are clipping thru the females foot w/ and w/o socks

The problem was fixed by enabling the mod. I didn't know what it was so that's on me. Thank you!

@Alkanshel - Yeah, Vanilla+ is the catch all file for all compatibility meshes. The boots expanded one is an optional extra for boots expanded users, but it's split into its own mod because iirc it would cause errors if run without boots expanded. Its been a while since i made it so i can't remember exactly, but i know i didn't want the whole mod to be dependant on boots exp, so i split it.

Enable vanilla+ and the skirt issue should go away. I'll make a note of this in the main mod description in case anyone else is thrown off by the multiple mods.
