@Overlord Activate the mod and keep it active, then place the lights manually. This mod only removes the lights at runtime, so if you activate it and then deactivate it, the vanilla ones will come back.

What is a correct way to remove vanilla lights? I will activate this mod and remove all vanilla runway lights. Then I deactivate this mod and place runway lights manually?

@Evil.Iguana I talked with -Renegade- about his assets, they seem to work fine, but I don't think that I am going to mark this mod as deprecated as a result. His method made a modified copy of the airport road AI, which could potentially corrupt save game files if CO pushes an update that changes the plane AI in any way. The risk is minimal, but not non-existant.

@vasimr22 The ones I linked are working flawlessly still. Whatever renegade did he seems to have recreated the vanilla functionality.

@Evil.Iguana do planes still use those correctly? And do they have any issues with connecting segments / intersections?
When I tried to do something similar, I found that the AI overwrote the prefab info, however, it's possible that CO fixed that with the most recent update.

If you are having load time issues with this mod, -Renegade- has gone and made lightless versions of the vanilla runway and taxiway and I have found them to perform flawlessly.

Oké. This is to bad because I have a big city and normaal loading is already 10 min. And this mod ads 15 min. Extra. Too bad.

@WONHO OPPA Unfortunately this has to be done everytime the game loads. The mods appear to be loaded after the network segments for the game are generated, which means that to remove the airport lights, you must disable them and then update the segments that already had them. And as stated in a previous comment, there is no useful way to select only airport road segments to update, so they must all be updated. The alternative is to require the user (you) to manually update EVERY airport road segment manually using moveit (each time the game loads).

Hello, start using this mod. Games freezed up but this is due by the mod becuase he has to check every/update segments. Is this a 1 time job for the mod or must this proces start every time you start the saved game"?

@Evil.Iguana I don't think it will be possible to optimize this. I tried to recently, but it appears that in their infinite wisdom, CO decided to not use the network segment classification variable and instead called every segment a "water pipe". So there is no way that I am aware of, to specifically target / update only airport road segments. I could disable the update, but then you would have to manually update every airport road segment, either by moving them or replacing them, every time you load a game.

As others have said, in big cities with many roads this can take 10+ minutes to finish before you can do anything in your game. If you do ever get a chance to optimize this a bit I would be super appreciative as well.

Great mod @vasimr22, however it does take a really long time for all the segments to update after the map loads (about 10 minutes for 20k segments), so the airport-roads-only optimization would be really nice, but thanks anyway!

Network Skins is compatible with Move it. The moved ,rotated and changed piller stay when save data loaded.
This mod is OK with light and tree changed. NG with only piller.

@gisshy Unfortunately that is most likely due to something pooly / lazily implemented with network skins. The only thing this mod does that could do that, is that it forces an update on all road segments. So I am not sure how network skins is dealing with their mod, but it would seem that if this is an issue, using MoveIt on the road segments would break the pillars too....
I have been meaning to optimize the code to only update airport roads, which would fix your problem (though it shouldn't be happening in the first place).

This mod is incompatible with Network Skins. This mod returns the changed pillars by Network Skins into default pillers when save data loaded. But, great mod, thank you!

Awesome! (Now I don't have to troubleshoot it). It takes a while, because it goes through each segment on the map and forces an update (at the time I wasn't sure if I could filter on airport roads specifically). So that means that it needs to update all of the roads, plane connections, boat connections, rails, pedestrian paths, etc. Luckily, it's only a loading issue, and you can always disable the mod if you don't plan on working on / looking at the airport in that play session.

PROBLEM SOLVED - It was taking about 5 minutes to load and remove the airport lights because it is such a big city. Thanks again for such an amazing mod!!

Amazing airtport assets! I'm having trouble using this mod when loading existing cities. The city loads but the simulation doesn't work and I am unable to plop any thing. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance and thanks for your amazing work on these assets
