Pretty brutal and challenging map. Was fun.

The Mughals are represented by the Byzantines and the Indians by the Persians. This was originally designed in AOC.

are mughals represented by persians?

So monks are pretty important for the defense along with pikes and skirms.

Try defeating the enemy flanks and also build up a monastery. Try protecting your economy with house walls. The enemy will be funneled through your castle, which will be easier for you to defeat the enemy with pikes and skirms then.

I made a castle in the middle of my town with murder holes before their invasion, but I can't go imperial age and get a gunpowder army before their elephant waves, and kiting + pikemen only delayed the inevitable. Is there a walkthrough?

Hi, I won it yesterday at the end of the day on "hard". With a monastery it would have been easy, where in the video the monastery stands, there was my market.... bad trap for the naive player! ;-)

Yeah, it's playable on hard.

Suggestion for improvement: A little more forest & not so unbelievably continuous Elite Elephant & Victory Ram waves.

Without the healing monks at the end I was very difficult to stop this despite a forest of cannon towers and castles.

I'm going to try again, it's probably too easy with monks. :-)

@luckyjoker
You have to give exactly 200 stone and also ensure no buildings near the ruins are built before you get the monastery. The proof that it works is in the video linked with the file. Alkhalim(1800+ elo) played that on moderate difficulty. He also played the fastest siege of Lahore (moderate) going for the perfect amphibious strike with forward towers.

Regarding hard difficulty of "First Battle of Panipat", I do also think it is really too much. Will definitely address this issue and the castle rebuild one when I release the whole "Babur" campaign. It is supposed to be a six scenario campaign now. Really appreciate your feedback. Keep me informed about any such occurrences.

Happy gaming!

Hi.

The monastery via tribute does not work. I tried it several times, without a monastery and relics it is really stupid. Just don't make it so complicated with so stupid (sorry) triggers. No offense, same complicated stuff as in Babur II.

I stopped the game after almost no wood left.

In the end, it is really just a game of grief on "hard" against the yellow computer with infinite units, which controls the cannons perfectly directly with the elephants. And that he will rebuild the finally (!) demolished castle somewhere else at the end? Sorry, but someday it's really good, it's really too much.

You certainly have talent, the AI moves quite well. But please, not so much griefing.

Liked it to, but perhaps releasing an updated (Rise of Rajas) with the civs that are more suited for the game, us maybe some RoR eye candy. Regardless, a splendid map and make more, perhaps some campaigns of the Byzantines.
Shuvro  [author] 13 May, 2017 @ 7:29pm
Haha, the monastery is supposed to be built on the ruins once you give 200 stone monastery foundation will be placed there :)
Nico 13 May, 2017 @ 4:37pm
Well, thats because i made the market on the place of monastery.
Nico 13 May, 2017 @ 4:01pm
I sent stone but they doest build the monastery,

AAh sweet looks like a campaign that took time to make, these are the best ones! cant wait to get started! :D

I highly recommend this campaign scenario to everyone who enjoys tough Build&Destroy challenges. It's much better than most campaigns/scenarios you'll find in the workshop, although it's the designer's first release.

Thanks a lot Adalwolf for your kind words, it's good you liked the scenario and won it on moderate difficulty. :steamhappy:

Splendid scenario! Loved the struggle for survival. :)

Byzantine unique unit made the choice, mongols lack bombard cannons and hand cannoneers, so they were out of consideration. Main reason for chosing Byzantines are you do not see many Byzantine campaign, and their achitecture fits well. Indian civ will be used for Hindu Rajas in the next scenarios. Till then stay tuned and many thanks for the comments :steamhappy:

I have played the scenario and I'll comment it:

* In general it's a good scenario, excellent and complex AIs are the best of it, the enemies attack strong and good-defined groups, using intelligent attacks. If you don´t update soon your possition, you´ll lose sure.

* The history, narration, hints.. are well written, it's an excellent historical scenario about build-destroy.

* The scenario has a few triggers, very simples, but this is counteracted by the versatility of AIs.

* I would suggest only a little changes: the civilizations, I don't understand why the mogols are bizantines, and why the armies of Delhi are persians. I would change these civs to mongols and indians.

Good luck for your next works! THANKS!
