I made this way harder than it needed to be. I thought I had cheesed the level but then found out my solution wouldn't have worked anyway. I felt really stupid after figuring out the last move...

Great simple map - I have gotta confess - I was stumped on the final - then I checked out the video - DUH! - How the hell did I not see that. Thank you for a great puzzle.

I think @Leomievs sums it up well: "Still creative even after 7 years."

Don't know why it worked but I put gel on the angled panel. The first time was hilariously short on the bounce but I did it again and made it. The videos I watched showed a different way that I seriously would have trouble duplicating. Anyway, I had fun and that;s what I came for. Thanks.

You're kidding. This was very innovative and flowed well. The problem I have is that a jump through an angled panel then through a flat panel is hard to see before you do it. I just tried something the map was leading me to and it worked, much to my surprise. But it was fun.

Had me stumped for a while. Was totally focused on the idea that the angle plate needed gel. After an overnight, I tried the angled momentum/bounce/mid-air portal-palcing and made it as intended. I was gratified to find these comments and learn of the special portal placement that will allow you to get gel on the angle plate and solved it that way too. Really liked the "behind the scenes chamber as well!

Brilliant!

Just looked at @Metzger Ben’s walkthrough: yep, that’s the way I did it which I assume is (must be) the intended solution - I concur with their comment ”I like your reusing of momentum”.
bullfrog 26 Oct, 2017 @ 2:34am
Brilliant puzzle. It must have taken you ages to set this up just right, everything was excellent, but the final fling-bounce-fling to the exit move was genius - thumbs up and added to favourites.
Benzolamps 18 Sep, 2017 @ 5:43pm
I tried many times on the final jump but failed all the time. The angeled panel with bounce gel cannot bounce me to the exit when I drop on it.

very good map tricky at the end fun to play:steamhappy:

Clean disposal of elements. Not hard and very well designed. Fun to play. Thanks

you dont even need to spawn the cube to pass the test

LMAO the sheep part was so unexpected. Great map, man.

Very, very clever game. I really had to think what was going on.

Good job! That last double jump with a bounce was excellent!

Awesome test! Keep it up!

Great map. I don't know why it took so long for the mechanics of the puzzle to 'gel' for me. I was getting 'blue' in the face trying all the wrong things. You must have spent some time setting up the perfect lengths and angles for the jumps. When I was in the air for the last jump, it felt perfect. So smooth. I liked the back room. I took the 'nap'. Thank you for another favorite and I'll see ya round the workshop.

Another fun map, probably at an easy level. Will be a little challenging for new players, though.
wildgoosespeeder 24 Dec, 2013 @ 12:30pm
Definitely didn't solve it like Metzger Ben | GER.

I think I solved it wrong, or at least if feels wrong. I just splattered blue gel wherever. From a standstill on blue gel covered portal surface, portaled, jumped from a blue covered fling panel I first saw to perform the first unique fling I never saw before, blue gel bounce from a flinged blue gel of that same fling panel, and blue gel through glass of the portal surface nearby. The concept is pretty good. Never saw that before.

Excellent test
Le Petit Mort 16 Jul, 2013 @ 7:00pm
Pros:
• Clever uses of flings, portalling;
• Fun end;

Notes:
• Did you know you can paddle a gel blob into the jump pad? Because apparently you can!

Very good chamber. I didn't find it challenging, as I've played Portal 2 for a while, but it's excellent for a beginner. Well designed, great concept, refined, no exploits.

For those stuck, just remember there is a thing as a good portal and a bad portal to pull off momentum combos. Your good portal remains in the same spot and your bad portal you need to move.
mikemoody 20 Mar, 2013 @ 11:58pm
Wow that was a dozzie at the end. I was stuck but thanks to" Metzger Ben" I finished..... Too many maps today i guess, the end had me :) Oh well.. Thanks for the fun.
Metzger Ben | GER 25 Nov, 2012 @ 8:13am
Very good chamber. I like your reusing of momentum in puzzles. Keep it up man! My solution: http://youtu.be/HmDs9y4UHAk

This test is quite comparable to Mevious' edition. Mevious has a brain breaker using a few testing elements, however this test has a cool flinging mechanic that involves repulsion gel, which was missed by Mevious.
Leo 22 Oct, 2012 @ 2:59pm
Nice chamber! I solved it intended but also unintended without using the cube at all due to the strange splattering of the gel through the glass. To prevent this you could just make the portable face near the glass wall in the first section unportable (reduce the 3 tiles to 2 with a gap to the glass).

Feel free to check out my maps ^^
regards Leo

It like the best map ever!

Guys, at the end, put the cube at the button, go back to the start, and cross the gap.

Nice test. Very fun to figure out and satisfying when I had it. Thumbs up.

Now you can use this to cross the goo without needing portals and it will allow you to keep the portal on the dispenser and thus, paint ANYTHING on the other side of the map.
You only need to paint the angled portion using a portal in the ceiling above it.
Once complete, you should paint the flat portal next to the small goo as well.
Remember to "straighten" the portal under the gel dispenser to do this right.
Once complete, you now need one portal in the ceiling [yellow] above the angle and the other as a "spare" on a wall somewhere.
Now start jumping [at least twice] on the flat gel painted portal surface and create a blue portal [while airborne] immediately underneath you to jump onto the angled portion.
I found that just after you enter the portal it pays to move closer to the edge of the angled plate to "catch" the blue gel effect.
nikonf5 24 Sep, 2012 @ 6:10pm
What Warbear said seemed like the solution but I tried it and you fall short.

Here is the solution that I used for the last part.
I didnt include how to get there as that should be pretty obvious.

At the end, you need to paint the angled portal blue to reach the exit.
To get the angled plate painted blue, you must have the cube on the switch and one portal underneath the gel dispenser. This portal has to be created at the right side of the plate at an extreme angle under the dispenser.
Then make its partner portal on the topmost part of the column next to the crack in the wall.
I dont remember whether its left or right but one of them will do the job.
If done right, the blue gel will exit at enough of an angle to paint the floor next to the glass thats over the goo.
Let it keep painting until it looks substantial.
NightHawk8P 17 Sep, 2012 @ 12:12am
I thought the same thing as Warbear but the solution is much simpler. Great map.
Warbear 12 Sep, 2012 @ 7:50pm
Solved most of the problems but getting to the exit. It looks like you have to do a double or triple fling, with mid-air portal placements. I guess my reflexes just aren't good enough. Interesting map, though. You are truly an evil genius.
Nortisop029 9 Sep, 2012 @ 7:51pm
Very cool combination of flinging and bounce gel. I've never seen flings like that, had me stumped for a moment.
I've got a puzzle that needs testing, for those interested:

Instantiation 9 Sep, 2012 @ 3:11pm
I figured out that I could use that painted blue square-and-target to reach the exit if that button was pressed and activating that panel . I did this pretty much immediately when I sat down with the map a second time (a day or two later).

But on the whole, it's a neat physics and gel puzzle. No execution-induced grief. Well-made and lit.
Miami Mike 28 Aug, 2012 @ 3:32pm
It was difficult, but it seems like you tricked it up so that methods that should have worked didn't.
Adimote 26 Aug, 2012 @ 8:58am
Thanks for modifying it to fix the bugs, also I loved the solution personally :D
STANN.co 23 Aug, 2012 @ 8:40am
hey nice map and i also found the easter egg. i don't were it is :D
Avatar 16 Aug, 2012 @ 2:52pm
Very good, but I also solved it without using the cube.
jbiggs2 15 Aug, 2012 @ 2:21pm
Is fun, found two different ways of beating it. One used the cube, the other didn't.

very F* nice!!!
