Favourite food, new strings on character select and so on?
"If she BREEDS, SHE'S A THOOOOOOOOT!!!!!"
Shria has a sort of calmed state whenever she's in a chilly room, and is in too much focus to have things that shake that focus in that calmed, cold state, like blocking.
It would also have her use Thermal Stones during Winter. Without one, her main trick would be stripped away from her and would have to resort to different ways to get what she needs.
I can see the reasoning behind the damage resistance and reading capabilities. However, a 10% reduction is not actually enough to save Shira from shadow monsters; it still takes the same amount of hits to kill her from 100-0, and it would be countered by the bonus damage taken.
Assuming these were enough to buff her, one of her main intended weaknesses was that she could easily be sneak-attacked or ganged up on while insane, turning her main strength into a weakness in certain conditions, mostly conditions where she faces monsters or is caught at night.
What was the thought process behind the cold-related sanity changes?
Increase damage resistance against Shadow Beasts by 10% (Having dealt with these fellas, surely Shira would have raised up some resistance towards them)
Unable to lose sanity upon reading (Shira is from an age of technology, after all)
15% Bonus damage taken and unable to lose sanity when near cold flames or when carrying more than 2 Ice (got to have some kind of drawback more than just the reduced damage)
I'm glad you enjoyed the mod, but making things for PvP is outside of my scope. As someone who doesn't partake in PvP, there's no way I'd be able to balance it, let alone code-monkey my way into making it work properly.
If any ranged attacks are added in the future, they would be in the form of placeable objects, not something the player would wield on their own.
When I return to working on this mod, more placeable objects such as what you suggest are the first thing I'd look into.
Keep up the great work. Maybe add more special base-defense type craftables to her. Walls that slowly regrow over time, maybe?
And without armor she is REALLY fragile. so maybe that counts ^^
I added a bit of greenish nightvision because of her tactical-eye. Maybe thats something you wanna implement?
A single Knightmare Statue surrounded in walls can take out three hounds by itself (6 shots each). The only alternative in the base game is the Houndius Shootius, which is non-renewable, hard to obtain, and once it's gone, it's gone for good. Eventually, a base fortified with Knightmare Statues will become completely invincible from the sheer quantity of them (as there is no limit to how many can exist in a world).
Considering these factors, I believe that the current iteration of the Knightmare Statue is both at a reasonable cost, and at a reasonable power level. Let me know if this is not agreeable.
