Taunt kills are for weapons only and should stay that way, and how the fuck are you gonna kill someone by putting your bat directly underneath yourself and jumping on it?

Animation needs ton of work and is no where near valve quality, it also very plain looking animation overall. Needs work.

People are saying how he should swing side to side, but I think it would be better if he just looked around a bit. Also if there was a bit of a breathing animation so he wouldn't look so much like a statue. (By breathing animation, I mean like moving the chest up and down how it is in game when you're standing still.)

I think he should slightly swing from side to side, maintaining his balance. Not anything major, just slight body movement to make it look more alive.

Looks good.
Yet, he points and then stiffly sits there for a while. A little dull. I think he needs to do a few subactions to make the taunt more lively, but mainly to capture his attitude. Maybe some finger taps with a quick glance to either side (not extreme like the exorcist, just a weak chest turn).

actually i can definitely see what you mean now. im sure some of it is caused by the transition from sfm to Vegas/Youtube but this will definitely be adjusted in V3. Thanks!

@weel watching it a bit more, it's definitely him coming up FROM slamming it down that's a bit too fast for me. It only lasts for 2-3 frames, which is a little too fast.

@ButterShutter this does seem to be a thing people bring up which confuses me. Don't get me wrong, I've fiddled around with timings and it loses a lot of the 'impact' if i slow that part down. I'll do some more experimenting

@ButterShutter @Sigstar with due respect, 'choppy' is very vague feedback, though it is appreciated. It's like going to a chef 'lmao this meal is shit u tard' and not actually saying why

what specific parts of it are 'choppy'? If you mean it feels too fast-paced, there's minimal I can do about that; otherwise there is no feeling of impact in the movements

@Mr. T-Hawk likely the first choice actually. Other weapons with very similar shapes, such as the Sandman, might be viable, not sure yet

In the final version of this taunt, is the bat that's used in it going to be just the stock bat, or will it be the players' choice of melee? I'm assuming it's the 2nd choice.

Why do people even make versions? It's a cool concept, but you're going to be shoved out of the way for a taunt made by a popular person, such as winglet, hypo or nonamesleft. Just make the final product. You don't need to build hype around your own taunt. Again, i think it's a cool concept, but please don't rush out an alpha just to show people.

I can't wait to see it further developed.
I love the idea, and it looks pretty great so far. I'm assuming it will be a toggle and hold taunt (like the box trot). I'm not sure if it's just because it's an early build, but the animation is really fast, and it's hard to tell what's happening clearly. But it'll be great once it's smoothed out and slowed down.
It will be fun to see where people can perch themselves with this.
