Actually, this needs to be updated from what I'm told.

Now if only there was a version that actually removes the cap, so that it doesn't max out at the max fuel storage on your ship forcing you to make multiple jumps. :P

can someone make a version of this but instead of costing more is cost less?

Could you fix this mod to work with Frackin universe?
Gladys Oroborus 19 Sep, 2016 @ 10:35am
I checked, this mod works perfectly for the nearest planets, then the fuel cost decreases, and further comes back to vanilla values. The original mod works fine though.
Is it possible for you to make something, like a compatibility patch for FU? I don't know about modding, so I don't know the difficulty of this...

Yes, FU now also messing with the fuel cap would cause a conflict and some weird behaviour.

Hi, I've got a compatibility problem with FU. In fact, the fuel cost for the nearest systems are quite important (for my example, 500), but when I'm going farther fuel cost decreases until it reaches about 100, then increases normally again... Recently FU has changed the fuel cap to 1000, so that's why I think the conflict is between these mods. Is someone having the same problem?

Yeah, actually it was closer to 1100 to the nearest world (it's hard to tell on the map which is closer). All I had to do was hire some crew and everything was fine.

Personally I like the idea that there is a risk that things will turn out like this. It makes FTL travel seem more dangerous.

It happens indeed sometimes you get stranded a bit. Not too often though.

Well I finally came to a point where I got struck in the starting system. The closest system would have taken 1300 fuel to reach. Thankfully that is indeed doable if I can get my hands on more crew.

SO I have tested it out, and yes it does have quite an impact. At first it seemed a bit overwhelming, but I quickly got used to needing to plan my movements instead of just jumping anytime I felt like it. It also helpped that because I was using FU I had many ways to get fuel besides mining moons.

In the end I felt it was still very playable, and just had to plan things more.

I was just thinking, that it feels like fuel costs should be higher. I will give this mod a test run.

I haven't tested it, but I doubt it would interfere. But you can always make a backup of your storage folder before installing it.

Cool, and no issues with the engineer's upgrades if uninstalled?
Stroomschok  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 5:32pm
It doesn't interfere with savegames.

Can this mod be safely installed or removed from an existing character save? I don't want to break my game or be stuck with it if I decide I don't like it.

I'm concerned it may interfere with the engineer's upgrades if installed then removed.

You're the best!
