These NPCs are so stupid, they walk over a hatch air lock and just say "Floran iss left behind".

This doesn't work with a lot of crew hired via the FU contracts, I have discovered.
Teleporting is fine, but they still spew out a large amount of talk unfortunately

@Carbon: Greckan race mod correct? I took a look and it seems like a very simple fix. Looks like Greckan mod added their own NPC quotes for when Greckan crew members get out of range, conflicting with my mod. I should have that fixed before midnight EST tonight.

I haven't tested it yet but I don't see why not, it should work just fine as long as you don't have any other mods conflicting with it.

This appears to be a bug that only happens in 1.3 when the Greckan mod is used in conjunction with this. I'm posting this here and in the Greckan page to see which is responsible.

Is this compatible with Frackin Universe? Though my crew won't spam the chat, they are still fairly terrible at keeping up.

I seem to have the same problem. I currently dont use this mod here but my crew still beams around and also drops loot when they beam. Do you have an update on the issue?

I believe it was the Crew Customization mod that did this, I've tried asking him, too. Thanks for the info, I'll try to get his answer.

I don't think that could be my mod doing anything like that. Once you uninstall it everything should go back to normal. Maybe try validating your Starbound game files on steam.

I uninstalled this and now my whole crew just keeps teleporting to me constantly. Once they teleport to me, they still continue to do so even if they're not my followers. How do I fix this? Thank you!

Glad you like it! They are wearing my Apex armor. If you get a tailor crew member they can make your whole crew wear whatever you have equipped.

Nope, sorry. Those side-quest followers are a different type of NPC than crew followers and probably just have bad AI.

Does this effect the side quest followers. (I am sick of the guys I resuce from 8 dudes to have them fall in a cave full of monsters).

You mean ship crew members? I'm not sure that would be possible with my mod as the only changes I made to dialog was remove the out of range text lines. All the other ones are intact and should trigger normally.

This seems to disable the speech of all the non followers as well.

Sadly it's the ladder.. Yeah.. Messing with their AI is.. Difficult.. I am yet to find one that can do that.. I hate their reaction to follow.. Many times I already defeated the enemy when they finaly appear..

Do you mean the speed at which they follow? That shouldn't be too hard. I'll tinker around with some values and see if increasing their speed looks feels better.
However if you mean their reaction time to START following you that would be a lot harder for me I think. Seems like that would require modifying their AI.

Hmm, can I advise to make them follow up faster too? I mean, it take some times to followers to actually, yunno, follow.. It would be nice if they just keep up, thanks for listening :D

It shouldn't conflict with anything that I know of. This mod doesn't touch the followers stats at all.

works great, been waiting for a way to make them shut up instead of constantly being clingy. No more "wait up!" "I can't reach you!". and even better, they actually keep up when I'm moving around faster because of techs, which makes them a fair bit more useful. :steamhappy:
