@Death Profit / Plutia
No need. The core treasurepools were not changed with 1.4. Still fully functional and covers new content as long as the new content calls to the core pools (which, as far as I can tell, they do).

An update for 1.4 would be very helpful :>
LordDeTracy 14 Jun, 2019 @ 3:53pm
Update needed. 1.4 is out.
calvinp.schuster 4 Oct, 2018 @ 3:03pm

TheScoutSeesYouThrewDaWall 5 Jul, 2018 @ 11:04am
TerraGamer22 if you havent figured it out by now its just means more stuff being dropped/found
geniusthemaster 12 Feb, 2017 @ 8:36pm
would be wise to link to the other drop rates
Terra 3 Feb, 2017 @ 4:53pm
Could someone please explain what this does?
Talonblaze 17 Jan, 2017 @ 9:55am
Silly question but care to share how this is done?
To be honest I kinda want the reverse.
Want things to be MORE rare.
Also any possible way to affect chest drops?
A MOOSE 4 Jan, 2017 @ 8:29am
does this work for 1.2
KolincaRN 24 Dec, 2016 @ 5:35pm
Hey, does it alter tenants fees/rents in any way?
Floofqueen Erunas 18 Dec, 2016 @ 11:57pm
does this work with 1.2?
Regular people talk 30 Aug, 2016 @ 8:34pm

Hi, I've included your mod as part of my mod collection: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=748797522&savesuccess=1

Going by the nifty table he put up, I think the drops are not as cheaty as the "x5" in the title sounds. All this does is decrease money by 4% while increasing basicTreasure by 4%. And then in the basicTreasure loot table it decreases money by a further 12% and thrown weapons by 4%, while increasing useful drops by 16%.

In summary: It trades -4% for 4% and -16% for 16%. That's rather balanced and mild, if you think about it.

If you find yourself short on pixels, then you must not be selling the extra guns and stuff you don't need. But, even then, merchants only give us 1/5 (or 20%) of an item's base value, at most, so it's not like the extra stuff is making us rich.

I second @SpaceRiceBowl, a 2x version would be great!
GwenBlanketSpecter 3 Aug, 2016 @ 1:13pm
is there an easy way for me to change the drop rates myself?
SpaceRice 30 Jul, 2016 @ 3:33pm
Could you make a x2 Drop rate mod? x5 Is just a bit too high for my liking atm
Thundercraft 30 Jul, 2016 @ 1:34pm
If it were up to me, I'd add a slight increase to the chance for monsters to drop meat. I mean, when you think about hunting a wild animal, one thinks about obtaining meat and/or hide. In real life, the only things one can obtain from animals are natural products like that and teeth and horns, etc. Meat and hide are virtually guaranteed from a kill.

I know there are levels for them, but still, doing quests in highest difficulty planets (volcanic, scorched) are not profitable at all, despite it's required sometimes to escort someone's friends from furthest part of the planet safely :D
I meant doing quests on some planet is less profitable than fastly exploring same planet
Tripod  [author] 29 Jul, 2016 @ 7:46pm
@[MGE]LeonserGT I haven't had a fiddle with this, but there are different levels for quests from what I can see. Some are much more rewarding than others, maybe you're just doing low level quests?

lowValueQuestRewards (thrownWeapon, seed, tool, ore)

mediumValueQuestRewards (weapon, shield, richOre, manipulatormodule, techcard, upgrademodule, rarefurniture, instrument, costume)

highValueQuestRewards (costume, rarefurniture, manipulatormodule, techcard, upgrademodule, goodWeapon, instrument)

@Critkiller I think there is still an underlying issue with Workshop mods and 'servers'. (Multiplayer via Steam is effectively creating a local server as well from what I understand)

Options:
1. Your friends can install the mod aswell through the Workshop.
2. Instead of using the Workshop, place the mod in your mods folder: http://community.playstarbound.com/resources/x5-basic-treasure-drop-rate.3806/
3. Follow the steps here: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/211820/discussions/0/352788917750356151/
Meowsers 29 Jul, 2016 @ 3:48pm
wheres 10x?
LeonserGT 28 Jul, 2016 @ 10:51am
Hey man, can you increase cool items probability for quest reward bags? Cuz even in vanilla is much more profitable to explore planets without picking any quests. I'd like more reasons to focus on them :)
Rhyno707 26 Jul, 2016 @ 1:59pm
is there a way to put this on a server?:steamsalty:
Tripod  [author] 26 Jul, 2016 @ 8:14am
@i like dog It's now on the Starbound mod forum.
Tripod  [author] 26 Jul, 2016 @ 8:11am
@Neon Tetris(The Greats) You could probably sell the 'Basic Treasure' drops for more pixels.
StellarNova 25 Jul, 2016 @ 11:21pm
but I need more money drop so could you up that:steamhappy:
Rampheus 25 Jul, 2016 @ 9:21pm
@Tripod Awesome and thanks! Gonna go check it out now, cheers!
Tripod  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 4:54pm
@Rampheus The x10 variant is on the Steam workshop now.

@bearhiderug Those are some good ideas, however I'd like to stick with maintaining just one drop table so that I can use it with my own character and tweak accordingly. Anyone is welcome to open the mod and tweak as they'd like.

@i like dog Sure, I'll let you know when they're up.
danimal 25 Jul, 2016 @ 12:44pm
Could you add this to the starbound community mod site?
MooreThenPlenty 25 Jul, 2016 @ 12:41am
this seems cool but i didnt know mosters dropped weapons to begin with XD :P
Rampheus 25 Jul, 2016 @ 12:29am
@Tripod Sounds great! Looking forward to it! Thank you and keep up the great work!
Tripod  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 12:08am
Sorry, poor wording - Not another version, another mod.
Tripod  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 12:07am
@Rampheus @bearhiderug I'm planning to do another version with a higher drop rate. I'll probably raise the treasure pool to 10% drop rate for monsters and drop pixels to 20-25% in the pool, bumping up weapons and shields.
Rampheus 24 Jul, 2016 @ 8:07pm
Thanks for making this mod and working to add some balance to Starbound. Item drop rates still feel like they could be bumped up a bit more to make combat feel more rewarding though. Thanks again!
TheSuit 24 Jul, 2016 @ 6:17pm
Hey - it seems some non steam users who are your fans are asking if you upload your mods to other places such as the official forums or nexus - http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/can-some-one-help-me-get-some-mods.118899/
