Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I was able to reproduce and resolved the issue. I have updated the CubeBlocks.sbc to match the current landing gear CubeBlocks and that seems to have resolved it.
Enjoy, and if I ever get more time I do have model update coming someday(tm)
Warfare 2 DLC update broken this mod.

Please remember, this is a landing gear. I am sorry people are having problems placing it but this will have all the same problems a landing gear will have, including placement issues if you are too close to another object. I am not able to make if function any differently. If I could, I would.
When I have some time here in the next week I will play with the size of the gear_lock_001 locator and see if that helps. During my initial testing the size of the locator did not seem to affect how it behaved.
And I'm not sure about the rest of you... but I do my best to only use vanilla looking / acting mods.

I was having a slight bit of difficulty with stability with this MASSIVE deployable solar array I'm putting into my asteroid colony. 2 points of contact deployed and 4 points of contact when retracted makes this thing ROCK SOLID.
Added perks: I can turn off the six 5-Meter pistons to increase the stability of the overall system and save power at the same time!
AWESOME mod.
@Poaching Gnome the ship I have it on has two piston doors and two rotor doors. A merge block would require another block to merge into.
I've been experimenting with gyroscopes using the "UltraGyro" [http//%26quot%3Bhttp] mod by JennyLeeP and CyaNox. At one point I had four of the UltraGyro's on a ship and it turned end over end like a fighter which prompted me to make this mod because all of my doors flew off. After I made this, my doors were held inplace without any problems.
