old vet 74, sorrry to hear that. The last time I uploaded an edit was a couple of years ago. I don't know of any mods that would make this one specifically CTD. Did you try the option to hire the builder?
Selesindrin  [author] 17 Jun, 2017 @ 6:57am
The Temple of Mirak is west and slightly south of the house, past Thirsk Lake.
Warlord 11 Jun, 2017 @ 8:58am
I have checked behind every building in the village. what do you mean by the temple?
Selesindrin  [author] 27 Aug, 2016 @ 2:56am
Ring man, I have no idea why it would do that. It works for me. I hope your problem was just a temporary glitch.
Selesindrin  [author] 27 Aug, 2016 @ 2:53am
Lost Penguin,
look in the library for clues. Library is in the hall to the left before you get to the puzzle room. Pay special attention to the position of the statues and what they're sitting on.

I just accidentally deleted a post, don't know who's it was. My apologies. If it was a question, please post it again.

In the quest for the Nordic Excavation later on, I am having trouble finding the answer to the stone-matching puzzle. Any hints?
Pharaoh Man 29 Feb, 2016 @ 6:03am
My second floor door is just a hole causing my character to automatically go outside. Any ideas to this?
Selesindrin  [author] 13 Feb, 2016 @ 3:24am
In the back of the second floor is a storage room with a trapdoor in the floor that leads to the basement.
bramvanhees 8 Feb, 2016 @ 12:29pm
How do I access the basement?
Selesindrin  [author] 25 Dec, 2015 @ 3:44am
After you build the house, talk to the steward in the basement to select additional options including adventures.
Jamma77 22 Dec, 2015 @ 7:55am
I reallly like the look ofthis mod but there's one thing I would like to know before I subscribe: How does one access the optional adventures mentioed in the dscriotion? Do I need to talk to an NPC, or do the quests just start on their own?
Draggo40 16 May, 2015 @ 3:41am
Love this mod !!!!!!!
peajay64 23 Mar, 2015 @ 11:23am
*Requires a stable computer that doesn't crash whenever you go to the village*
My game is just a glitchy mess isn't it...
smr54 15 Mar, 2015 @ 2:37am
I agree with mccoil, fiona, should be some sort of furniture upgrade option. I know that request probably requires quite a numbers of hours of work on your part. I just downloaded this mod haven't used it yet, but it looks great from the pics you provided. Ever think about downloading to Nexus, as well as Steam?
Blaqueflame 27 Feb, 2015 @ 8:38am
This house is huge and I am loving the lakehouse! I would love a furnishing upgrade - I reckon if I had enough money to build such a huge holding, I probably have the cash to not be sleeping on a straw bed - let's make it prettier!
Narsha 21 Feb, 2015 @ 1:28pm
ok ty
Selesindrin  [author] 21 Feb, 2015 @ 1:00pm
One spellbook is in the Stackhouse on the shelf in the back room (the room that leads to the cellar and the roof deck). The other is on the bookcase upstairs in the Lakehouse.
Narsha 21 Feb, 2015 @ 12:43pm
ok where where can i find it or is it in skyrim :)

Selesindrin  [author] 21 Feb, 2015 @ 10:05am
K1TT3NZ, you should be able to end the Solstheim Blessing by reading the Dispel Magic Cloak spell book to learn the spell, then equip the spell and cast it like a normal spell.
Selesindrin  [author] 21 Feb, 2015 @ 10:02am
I just uploaded the construction quest fix. You'll need to activate the Construction Workbench one last time to complete the quest.
viktorhavok 20 Feb, 2015 @ 8:32pm
Selesindrin, I'm having the same issue as Fabea. I have completed all the structures and it wont finish the quest. this happened the first time I subscribed also, so I unsubscribed and removed all the asociated files and resubscribed. Did each step exactly in order. Went into the house as soon as it said i could, read the home decorating guide, then went and finished the other two structures. Figured if i did each step exactly in order maybe that would help. But no luck. Still wont end quest. Could you prvide the Quest ID and end stage so I could CC it?
Narsha 18 Feb, 2015 @ 3:02pm
PLEASE HELPPP!!!!!

i have a problem and i want to remove the blessings they go for 8 hours and when you wait it dosnt stop it its very annoying because you cant see in open areas and tried remove the "Flame Cloak" istelf as a spell that didnt work either but other than that an amazing must have mod :)
Finaltrap22 29 Jan, 2015 @ 4:07pm
deleted and re-installed, i found it.
Selesindrin  [author] 26 Jan, 2015 @ 5:26pm
You're right, Fabea. I need to fix it. I must have changed something after I tested it.
Finaltrap22 25 Jan, 2015 @ 1:23pm
how do find/get it?
☣ Jack the Plague Doctor ☣ 24 Jan, 2015 @ 8:53am
cool man !
Sir_Thomas 22 Jan, 2015 @ 10:04am
I have this mod now, and I like it. I can't, however, see moving the family here. It's just too cold. and there are not enough children for my boy and girl to play with. The pets are a nice touch, but what this house really needs is a heated swimming pool. Great work on this mod. Thank you.
Selesindrin  [author] 20 Jan, 2015 @ 2:38am
Modified the construction quest, so that you can hire someone to build Skaalview Stackhouse instead of doing it yourself. Changed the lakehouse name to Fjalding Lakehouse so it matches the documents. Fixed the house guards patrols. Created a spell called Dispel Magic Cloak that removes the Solstheim Blessings, and placed magic books to the shelf in the back room of the Stackhouse and on the upstairs bookcase in the Lakehouse.
Mr and Mrs Shadow 17 Jan, 2015 @ 10:39pm
This is no hunting lodge. It is a real home. Abeautiful home large and lavish by Skaal standards as the description says. The bed gave a well rested bonus and there is a childrens room with two beds. Using the Custom Family Home mod by VITCHRAZOR you can actually move your spouse and children into this home. I myself do not normally subscribe to brand new mods but when I saw this one I had to take a chance on it and subscribe. And I am glad I did because this is the first house mod for Solstheim that I have come across which actually offers the ability to move your family to Solstheim.

Sir_Thomas 16 Jan, 2015 @ 2:16pm
This looks like a good mod, but I have been burned before. What do the current subscribers have to say. Why do I want a hunting lodge in Solsthiem?
Sgt. Billy BigBaws 16 Jan, 2015 @ 12:54pm
Hi, is this save game friendly? :)
Hyphen-ated 12 Jan, 2015 @ 3:40am
yeah right, like i memorized all the names of the areas in this game
thanks for editing the description, OP
Astraltiddies 11 Jan, 2015 @ 1:36pm
It says the player home is in Solsthiem. ISn't that enough to let people know IT REQUIRES DRAGONBORN DLC?! Wow. I mean, it's common sense!
Selesindrin  [author] 11 Jan, 2015 @ 6:13am
Storm_at_Sea, no offense taken, and thanks for your comments. I actually built an isolated, expansive home in my first mod, Country Castle. I also wanted to keep Skaalview in line with the surroundings...plopping a huge castle here wouldn't feel realistic to me.
Selesindrin  [author] 11 Jan, 2015 @ 6:05am
Fabea, you can go into the house before it's completely finished. There are 2 additional sections need to be built to end the quest, a little outdoor shelter and a side trail that leads from the lower deck of the house to a little cliff above the village smith's house. Try building them at the construction workbench just like the other sections. Once those are built, the quest completes just like a vanilla quest. Additional items in the barrel won't affect the quest.
Selesindrin  [author] 11 Jan, 2015 @ 5:05am
Use the sawbuck located next to the tanning rack and construction workbench. You should get 10 boards per use.
pandore.morte 11 Jan, 2015 @ 12:02am
I am having a problem and it may just be me overlooking something but I cant seem to find or craft or command code wooden boards at all... What am I doing wrong??
Hyphen-ated 10 Jan, 2015 @ 10:33pm
yo I think "REQUIRES DRAGONBORN DLC" should be higher up in the description of this mod
Fabea 10 Jan, 2015 @ 4:54pm
we all have preferences and I love this even the building process, it beat stupid quests that are not quests at all, or just walking straight into a house.
The cavern is great addition so is the mine and the little mini quests. The NPC's are not bad at all not too annoying, Yet!

I do have a annoying little problem at present, it's telling me that I haven't finished it yet and that I need to walk into it and complete some outside building. I have so all I can think is that I placed too much stuff in the chest so I will try emptying that tonight and see if that works. Best part for me is the lake side house :)
Storm_at_Sea 10 Jan, 2015 @ 4:46am
This is just feedback, I'm not bashing your mod, understand this (trust me, I'm not that sort of person). I was happy someone else added a player home in Solstheim, since I use a mod that spruces up the house you gain in a quest on the island- nice but I was hoping for something bigger- more isolated, snowy. This mod isn't isolated, being right on the border of the Skaal village, but at least it was snowy! 1st, while I give you credit for creativity in the building process, I wasn't crazy about it, just takes longer than the vanilla building process & I didn't like it. Upon entering, the layout felt a bit cramped (for what I'm used to) & didn't care for the decor. There's plenty to choose from & I only tried inside decor & workers- but it wasn't for me, plus the workers, if you get all/most of them- were too many for the house size, IMO, they were very in my way (moreso if you have a follower(s). Don't be offended, different ppl like different things, it's all it boils down to.
Valkyrie 9 Jan, 2015 @ 9:29pm
@ryanbarragan666 You should know a lot of work went into this, and is it not boring to just walk up to a completed house with no effort or time put in on your behalf? Other than typing in ~player.additem f 10000000000
Nematode 9 Jan, 2015 @ 7:33pm
make thishouse buyable. I earned lots of gold but dont want to send time building the house. good mod though
YINGSOUTWEST_Mikazuki808Xx 9 Jan, 2015 @ 4:50pm
great job on the exterior but could use some fleshing out on the indoors
I'm Special 9 Jan, 2015 @ 4:48pm
nah, don't make it buyable. i hav 1.5 mil gold and the fun is in the build. collecting items gives it some challenge. well that's my opinion, for others maybe instant gratification is the way. Im a nord i work for a living, not some silver spoon imperial
Selesindrin  [author] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 3:14pm
I'm play testing a spell to dispel the magic coaking of the alter blessings. I call it "Dispel Magic Cloak." It'll be available in spell book form. Hoping to wrap it up this weekend.

Also want to finish the option to just buy the house instead of building it, for those who have buku expendable income but little time to grind.
mykalbúcla 9 Jan, 2015 @ 5:04am
Any chance this make an appearance on the nexus?
I'm Special 8 Jan, 2015 @ 8:09pm
yes do tone down alter effects. Long lasting it is.
I'm Special 8 Jan, 2015 @ 8:09pm
ok i like the mod, but the crash to desktop is getting annoying. I have only 53 mods going now and it looks like a conflict with one. But the home has many places for my stuff. I've completed the build. All woorked as promised, and looks and feels right in the Skaal village. When i figure out the conflict i will get back to you. Load order is the norm, we shall see. My stuff has a new home. Well done sir
Selesindrin  [author] 7 Jan, 2015 @ 3:05pm
I'll tone down the altar effects.
