1.0d 2-4 has been released, and DOTD is patched with it. Please report any crashes, much appreciated!

Updates will come a bit less frequent as I currently prioritize real life matters.

@candyflossxx, should work with CodeX, but as far as I recall they haven't added the codes yet to make crouching and lying idle animations work.

well! The recent update seems to have broken something. I found that after loading this mod, whether it's loading previous saves or creating new ones, it will cause the game to crash and pop up a window saying that an animation file named "t34m42xxxx" is missing. I don't know if this is my problem or the mod's problem, but everything is normal after I canceled using this mod, so I think I should report it to you

WAVE and patches have now been updated. For some reason, Steam hides the patches whenever I update them, so kindly await 'till Steam allows me to set them to public again. Cheers!

@Lin MInzhu, unfortunately, Steam shenanigans, the patches undergo some ridiculously long content check that I cannot override for some reason. It should be up by now or later

With each update, I feel excited. You have brought obvious changes to the game. The soldiers on the battlefield are no longer just numbers; they have returned to their human form, constantly reminding us of the brutality of war. There are couple ways ways to go about this.

1. In base game's mod manager, you click activate in an order and the game recognizes that first and foremost as how it's gonna be after you press apply.

Say, you clicked activate on Mod A, then B, then C, then apply. That will be the load order.

I think the same applies when you activate Mod A, then apply, then Mod B, apply, and so forth. This is the slower method, and I think this is broken on GOH.

GOH's in-game mod manager is buggy. If you're complete with the load order, then you add another, it will shuffle it. So there's alternative for that, which brings us to the second option.

2. Chunchunmaru's Mod Manager. I personally use this, I had a bit of difficulty setting it up first due to the interface but it pays off and I can say it works better for GOH.

3. Lastly, there's Documents - My Games - Gates of Hell (or similar folder) - Profile, then options.set.

I used this a lot on AS2 days and sometimes still do. But GOH and Call to Arms used numbers now which can be jarring to look at sometimes.

@Kaiser, ah. I get it now. Vox nd I were testing and we concluded that maybe the three mods have modified the human.inc file.

In the vanilla, it references a file called human_idle.inc but that falls now to the end of the Code X devs

Ah! It seems that WAVE doesn't give CODE:X the new idle animations. I'm not sure if this is intentional since you're still about to develop dedicated modern animations for them, or it's just limited to me. I've seen that there are still the new cover/peak and death animations (with or without a mod manager) which are absolutely cool!

@TheGamingLizard, that would be lovely! Sadly though, the mod contains animations that were from other games, so that's likely a far cry.

@Frikromb, definitely me when I figured how to make it work. Glad you like it!

@Kaiser, CodeX definitely works. Isa siya sa mga sinubukan ko for WAVE, pero eventually gagawan ko siya ng dedicated modern animations.

Try a Mod Manager, since these mods are really heavy, they do require that to be loaded correctly.

Just wanted to ask if you have any idea regarding WAVE's compatibility with CodeX right now? It does not seem to be working due to the lack of idle animations (which I adore). I run WAVE with both hotmod and West81, and so far, there have been no issues with those mods.

Oh yes, striving to have some sort of Company of Heroes 1 infantry liveliness is definitely one of the core goals of WAVE. Thanks again!

@Warrior250 hmm I see, I wish someone could do something like this, of course the game developers should actually do it. It should be like infantry lying down and panicking under suppressive fire or trying to find cover and retreating in panic like in Company of Hereos, you can think of it like the hunt progression in the combat mission game where infantry try to detect enemies very slowly and carefully by looking around. I believe such animations look very nice. I think you are very talented. Thanks for your interest and support.

You could add animations when the soldiers are standing outside waiting for orders and start smoking, stretching, and chatting amongst themselves, because in vanilla they just stand there with their rifles pointed forward and it doesn't make sense.

Forget it haha, I uninstalled the mod and reinstalled it and it came out, what happened is that when I entered the game, the "extra" option appeared, there you activate or deactivate the mods, all my mods appeared except this one.

Heya @Hunson Abadeer, wounded animations are in the plans. The focus of the mod is mainly on infantry animations only, I'm currently not keen on working on animations for vehicles and crews at the moment.

Consider adding animations for wounded/killed enemies — so they don’t just fall down but keep moving for about a minute. Also, there’s a lack of animations for artillery crew infantry.

Just to let everyone know, the mod has now been updated to 1.055.

Anyone subscribed to Open Beta WAVE must unsub now, changes there are brought to this now and a few more.
