Yes! You can just delete the entries from the .ini or comment them out with a semi-colon ( ; ).

You can find avenger songs in XComStrategySound.ini in mod folder 3557987812/Config/Base . They are assigned to group eSSG_Chapter0X (X being 1, 2, or 3).

However, whenever I update the mod, there's a chance your ini files will be overwritten by my new files. So be sure to keep a backup, or just deactivate them again if you notice them playing.

Very good mod! I would like to disable the Avenger screen soundtracks, is it as simple as deleting/disabling the HQ Stage tracks?

Wwise is more powerful but more finicky. There's a lot of extra steps you need to do after installing it where things can go wrong. I intend to make a port to it eventually but that's way more work than this mod was.

I'm running this mod currently with base MMS, LWOTC (and a bunch other stuff), and the Cyberpunk, Blood Dragon, and Deus Ex soundtracks. They all work as expected together, given the caveats of MMS's known problems.
Heroic Ryan 19 Sep @ 8:16pm
I was using Wwise MMS but I uninstalled it while troubleshooting as I thought it might have been causing problems with some music mods not working entirely.

As for other sound and music mods, I use a lot of voice packs, and I have 3 music packs besides what's included here.

I confirmed one of them just completely swaps tracks in-between turns which is very jarring, probably gonna let that one go.
Saladin  [author] 19 Sep @ 6:42pm
That might be the other mod. Although there is supposed to be an alien track and an xcom track for most of them.

What are other sound and music mods are you using? And are you using Wwise MMS in addition (I have not tested with it yet.)
Heroic Ryan 19 Sep @ 5:40pm
In addition to my previously listed problem, music also randomly resets itself (or changes track completely) when swapping between my turn and the enemy's turn
Heroic Ryan 19 Sep @ 2:53pm
IDK if it's an issue / feature of this mod or one of the other music packs I have but I noticed combat music continues to play even after combat is resolved.

Thank you ^^

Just noticed some duplicate XCOM 1 combat songs that may have been causing issues.

@Maddog Was it the XCOM 1 combat songs that were playing over other songs? I might have just fixed it.
Saladin  [author] 6 Sep @ 12:57pm
Ok @jkinsect, just added the songs mentioned by that mod you linked to.

Currently they are only playing on a few stages to prevent bloat. You can search for them in the ini with the string X2O , which should show you which songs and what stages they're on.

this is so cool!!
Saladin  [author] 4 Sep @ 9:48am
These were mostly pulled from the WotC SDK files, so probably not. Although you can tell from the game files that they were editing them constantly. Some even seem to be first drafts that made it into release.

That said, I could add them. Depending on what I find though, it might have to come from the OST rather than the game, which might mean things like the Alien Turn version of the song might have to stay the same.

95% of the reason I made this mod is I missed hearing TLP combat music.

Do you have the SDK downloaded? If you open one of the mod's upk files with it, you can browse around and listen to the music.
Kinsect 3 Sep @ 7:32pm
Say does this include unmodified versions of tracks like Ambush, Last Hope, and New World Order?
sort of like from this mod?

I was thinking of using the Doom Soundtrack alongside this. so I will try that out, see what happens.
Saladin  [author] 1 Sep @ 8:12pm
Well, the thing is, the only reason to have this pack is if you're using MMS with other soundtracks. If you're not doing that, you shouldn't use this mod.

Instead, try these two:

No other Albums at all and the two base functions - Allow Fallback and Mix in Indifferent are both switched on. I have turned both of them off one at a time and it still happened previously. I just checked. No sound packs that I am aware of, I have a few voice packs, which should not interfere. I do have the Legacy Pack Unlocker mod from RoboJumper and the Voice Patcher from Aquillo. The only other Mods I can think of is More Shells by Fallen King and AERO’S SHELLS. Those are the only ones I can think of currently that could do anything like that.
Saladin  [author] 1 Sep @ 5:01pm
Those options shouldn't work at all when you're using MMS. It disables (or, is supposed to disable,) the game's base music system.

What settings do you have on for MMS? And what other albums are you using?

And are there any other sound or music mods that maybe inadvertently could be causing this?

I want to help, but if I can't replicate or investigate, there's not much I can do. Anything you can think of that might be helpful could narrow it down.
Maddog Wolfus 1 Sep @ 11:16am
@Saladin Yes this is the only mod that it has done that to, albeit I have not used MMS for quite some time. I have only landed on 2 maps so far and I do believe they were modded, but I cannot be sure. So far the maps in question were both cities and they were both Personnel Extractions and the music is the calm-combat music, UFO Defense which i think is TLP Combat 1 or 2 as I was always using the original music selection in the original options for my play through before installing this mod.
Saladin  [author] 1 Sep @ 8:57am
@kinsect Yes, it does.

@maddog That is very strange. Is this the only mod for MMS that this happens to you with? And does it happen on all maps or just a few of them?

I know when I was messing around with the Android version of the game, I had something like that happen. But never on PC.

What songs exactly seem to play over each other? The confusing thing here is MMS isn't able to play TLP songs from its default options, so you should only be able to hear TLP songs if they're coming from my mod.
Maddog Wolfus 1 Sep @ 2:59am
I have a question. Love running this with the ability to have all the soundtracks going but I do have a slight problem and it is the only one I have found thusly. When in combat the music from the TLP is being played alongside the combat music of this mod, so I am getting them in tandem with each other with about a second or so delay in audio. Now I am not sure whether there is a problem in my way that I have set everything up, or a map addon has a specific music (I have a fair few) with Covert Infiltration as the base. I can turn the music on and off with the slider in the audio selection in game. What would you suggest?

Say does this include the original Xcom 2's menu theme?
(It's from the start of Xcom 2's original soundtrack in that video :P)
Saladin  [author] 30 Aug @ 12:38am
Ok, I added those songs and a couple others.

Some of the XCOM 1 songs seem low in volume. Which is weird because the files aren't. Gonna investigate.
aceboy_21 29 Aug @ 10:24pm
wow... just listening to tracks is amazing. HUGE file, but damn nice. Thank you.
Kinsect 29 Aug @ 8:01pm
@Saladin
That’s the one!
Saladin  [author] 29 Aug @ 7:45pm
@hartman

Sure! I could do that too. I'll add it to the list.

However, when you say Geoscape, do you mean the avenger? Or do you mean the map of the earth? You mentioned character creation, which you can't do on the geoscape.

Also, avenger songs come in three flavors. Chapter 1, 2, and 3. Corresponding, I think, to the beginning of the game, post Blacksite, and then I want to say post Avatar kill? Each chapter still plays in subsequent chapters, but won't start playing until you reach that point.

@onestrongbow

I used to use that mod, it's the one I mention in the intro.

The difference is that it's not compatible with the Music Mod System (MMS). So you can listen to the original soundtracks, but not any new ones.

Currently, I also have the Cyberpunk, Blood Dragon, and Deus Ex soundtracks playing alongside the original 3 OSTs.
onestrongbow GocleCD 29 Aug @ 7:17pm
what the diffrente between this and "Soundtrack Restoration - WotC + TLE" in content ?
Hartman 29 Aug @ 7:06pm
I miss the X Com 2 main menu OST "Out of the Ashes" playing WOTC. First time booting up the game I stopped my character creation and was just in awe. If you put that in the geoscape theme and include the squad load out theme you won yourself a subscriber!

the link you have is indeed the one
Saladin  [author] 29 Aug @ 5:39pm
Oh, good point. No, it doesn't. It's been so long, I forgot there even was a different one.

Is it this one?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2r97r1-Tgs

It would be simple to add it in.

Keep suggestions like these coming. I don't remember all the songs, I mostly pulled them from game data.
Kinsect 29 Aug @ 5:08pm
Say does this include the classic Xcom 2 Squad Loadout?
