You can find avenger songs in XComStrategySound.ini in mod folder 3557987812/Config/Base . They are assigned to group eSSG_Chapter0X (X being 1, 2, or 3).
However, whenever I update the mod, there's a chance your ini files will be overwritten by my new files. So be sure to keep a backup, or just deactivate them again if you notice them playing.
I'm running this mod currently with base MMS, LWOTC (and a bunch other stuff), and the Cyberpunk, Blood Dragon, and Deus Ex soundtracks. They all work as expected together, given the caveats of MMS's known problems.
As for other sound and music mods, I use a lot of voice packs, and I have 3 music packs besides what's included here.
I confirmed one of them just completely swaps tracks in-between turns which is very jarring, probably gonna let that one go.
What are other sound and music mods are you using? And are you using Wwise MMS in addition (I have not tested with it yet.)
@Maddog Was it the XCOM 1 combat songs that were playing over other songs? I might have just fixed it.
Currently they are only playing on a few stages to prevent bloat. You can search for them in the ini with the string X2O , which should show you which songs and what stages they're on.
That said, I could add them. Depending on what I find though, it might have to come from the OST rather than the game, which might mean things like the Alien Turn version of the song might have to stay the same.
95% of the reason I made this mod is I missed hearing TLP combat music.
Do you have the SDK downloaded? If you open one of the mod's upk files with it, you can browse around and listen to the music.
sort of like from this mod?

Instead, try these two:

What settings do you have on for MMS? And what other albums are you using?
And are there any other sound or music mods that maybe inadvertently could be causing this?
I want to help, but if I can't replicate or investigate, there's not much I can do. Anything you can think of that might be helpful could narrow it down.
@maddog That is very strange. Is this the only mod for MMS that this happens to you with? And does it happen on all maps or just a few of them?
I know when I was messing around with the Android version of the game, I had something like that happen. But never on PC.
What songs exactly seem to play over each other? The confusing thing here is MMS isn't able to play TLP songs from its default options, so you should only be able to hear TLP songs if they're coming from my mod.
(It's from the start of Xcom 2's original soundtrack in that video :P)
Some of the XCOM 1 songs seem low in volume. Which is weird because the files aren't. Gonna investigate.
That’s the one!
Sure! I could do that too. I'll add it to the list.
However, when you say Geoscape, do you mean the avenger? Or do you mean the map of the earth? You mentioned character creation, which you can't do on the geoscape.
Also, avenger songs come in three flavors. Chapter 1, 2, and 3. Corresponding, I think, to the beginning of the game, post Blacksite, and then I want to say post Avatar kill? Each chapter still plays in subsequent chapters, but won't start playing until you reach that point.
@onestrongbow
I used to use that mod, it's the one I mention in the intro.
The difference is that it's not compatible with the Music Mod System (MMS). So you can listen to the original soundtracks, but not any new ones.
Currently, I also have the Cyberpunk, Blood Dragon, and Deus Ex soundtracks playing alongside the original 3 OSTs.
the link you have is indeed the one
Is it this one?

It would be simple to add it in.
Keep suggestions like these coming. I don't remember all the songs, I mostly pulled them from game data.
