Believe it or not, it is a vanilla bug in 1.6. You can check the same bug exists on turrets and mortars, even without my mod.
But I also encountered it, and it wasn't... ideal.

It's already reported as a bug, so hopefully will be fixed by RimWorld soon. Meanwhile I updated the mod and released my own fix. Should work as intended now.

Selecting the door and hitting "F" to forbid it no longer works. This is causing me lots of problems, since I use it all the time to forbid doors, and my colonists just ignore it, and walk right through.

Update 08/14:
In the new unstable Devs implemented the same change for vac barriers I did, and now they work everywhere again. This mod will stay as a vacdoors :kae:

I'm also trying to add a blue-glow to the upgraded doors, similar to the vacbarrier, but it prooves to be hard, especially with support for other mods in mind.

@Cyber Witch ~
I doubt Tynan still develops the game, but yes, it is a controversial change. Maybe they will revert it when it goes live on a stable version.

@StillSuit Awesome thank you!

@Sithgrim
Yes, it works on any 1.6 version.

No way they seriously removed this? Whats the logic behind this, its not game breaking or anythung. Wonder if its in his book

Is this compatible with stable branch or do I need to update to unstable to use the VacDoors?
StillSuit  [author] 9 Aug @ 11:13am
Big update: I've added less cheaty way to vacproof the doors with a cost of 3 gravlite panels.

Technically it is considered a fueling. I decided to use it as it's the least intrusive way to simulate "Upgrade" of the building. All I have to do is ensure that fuel is never consumed and check if its fully 'fueled' to activate the integrated Vacbarrier feature.

@Arlington
It should work with any modded door of any size, as long as it is "Airtight" (you can check it in the info) and powered (consuming electricity, like autodoor).
Arlington 9 Aug @ 5:32am
does this work with the re-build larger doors?

learned the hard way of this change while i was off doing stuff and i lost at least 12,000 meat (my entire batch) and 3 of my dogs got rot stink since they were napping in the freezer. thanks for this!

thank you. I was hoping ludeon would have added a gizmo to keep your vac barriers on high power mode on the surface, but alas they did not.

What a stupid change they made with the vacdoors, so they completely nerfed its utility for the fridge even in gravships because you still need to land at some point and then it becomes useless? wtf guys
StillSuit  [author] 8 Aug @ 9:02am
Alright, big change, but if you dont toggle a new option in Mod Settings, everything will work exactly like it did before. I've updated the descryption :shigure2:
Juicer 8 Aug @ 5:03am
Thanks, this would have screwed up my fridge on my current run.

@The Blind One
Fix: Vac barriers were not exchanging temperatures properly when not on

Vac barriers now completely uselss when not in space
The Blind One 8 Aug @ 2:53am
