Take your time, maybe someone on the rimworld mod market discord with artist skill will make it for free for you and you can focus on code
NuanKi  [author] 18 Sep @ 8:29am
@Geojak, I have that already, it's just been a pain in the a$$ making the textures, and I'm a little busy with work :(
That's why I have not published that version
Geojak 18 Sep @ 2:28am
ah dang, i was hoping this mod would make standard vanilla walls able to be diagonal.
Sumatris 31 Aug @ 8:50am
Man, I'm still hoping for someone to expand the diagonal hull feature to all walls on standard terrain. To be frank, this should've been a part of the 1.6 update to begin with. Thanks for getting us halfway there at least :-).
kongkim 29 Aug @ 10:34am
Okay :)
NuanKi  [author] 29 Aug @ 10:16am
I will check it this weekend, since that mod adds its own way to draw angled walls, I'm not so sure of how well they would work together
kongkim 29 Aug @ 8:53am
Yah, but would just go well with that wall mod.
NuanKi  [author] 29 Aug @ 8:53am
I haven't implemented the draw angled walls on normal terrain here, since it has been a pain in the a$$ making the textures for the normal walls
NuanKi  [author] 29 Aug @ 8:48am
FYI, In simple terms, vanilla decides to draw angled walls when 2 blocks are touching corner to corner, the substructure is used to not draw angled walls where it is placed
kongkim 29 Aug @ 8:35am
@NuanKi Ohh did not see that.

Could you add support for the mod Hull Style: NANAME Walls
NuanKi  [author] 29 Aug @ 8:30am
No other wall than the supported on the list and vanilla hulls draw angled walls
kongkim 29 Aug @ 8:26am
For some reason when i place walls on the new floor, they still don't do angle.
Jabs 26 Aug @ 2:25pm
Oo! that's awesome. I'll give it a look soon, thank you Nuanki!
NuanKi  [author] 24 Aug @ 11:16am
@Jabs
I removed the limit from angled substructures
LongBowDwarf 21 Aug @ 9:08am
Very cool, thanks!
Jabs 12 Aug @ 6:49am
Wow that was quick! I just tested it and can confirm it works now :)

Thank you so much!
NuanKi  [author] 12 Aug @ 6:22am
Should be fixed in the grav extender hull mod
Jabs 12 Aug @ 4:47am
Yep! You can reinstall extenders/grav ship engine and it'll re-enable the disabled tiles, until the next launch and landing. When the map loads in, only the blue/turquoise tiles load in, then when it actually finally lands, the rest pops in, but with the substructures red when you select a grav engine or field extender.
NuanKi  [author] 12 Aug @ 4:37am
How does it happen? After you do a landing?
Jabs 12 Aug @ 4:33am
I suppose that's fair enough concerning the angled substructures (though vanilla extenders should probably still be placeable on them :))

I don't use Bigger gravships.

https://imgur.com/a/nrdhoC0 This screen shows a landing with hull extenders
https://imgur.com/a/YloB37B And this is with vanilla extenders in same location

NuanKi  [author] 12 Aug @ 4:15am
The angled substructure is made that way, since you are not supposed to build hulls or thrusters on top of it, since why make it draw angled hull if you are going to place a wall or thrusters on it

This mod does not modify anything other than the class to draw angled hulls, so this mod should not be the problem either.

Since I use both and I have no problems in game.
By any chance do you have installed Bigger Gravships?
Jabs 12 Aug @ 3:55am
Hi!

I'm not sure if my issues are due to this mod or the 'GravField Extender Hulls' and/or 'ReBuild: Doors and Corners' Mods but there are cases where a hull extender does not work properly when launching the ship. The ship stays intact but the grav engine will have to be re-installed, else a lot of tiles are considered disabled and prevent specific extenders from working. If this doesn't make sense, I can provide screenshots!

When using vanilla extenders in the same location, issues go away. Vanilla/standard substructure(Not angled!)

additionally, thrusters and vanilla extenders cannot be placed on the angled substructure. I'm sure that's not by design?

Regardless, thank you for this mod and your time :)
NuanKi  [author] 11 Aug @ 6:06pm
For you to be able to draw angled hulls inside a ship, use the new substructure exactly where you want the angled hull to be drawn
slimeform 11 Aug @ 3:27pm
I've been waiting and waiting for someone to make this
NuanKi  [author] 9 Aug @ 1:38pm
Progess:
Now its possible to have angled hulls in the inside of the gravship:

Also having angled walls in the normal terrain:

Patch the mod extension into the wall, you can enter this mod patches and copy the 1st Patch i made, change the Name of the mod and change the defName to the defName of the wall you want to add this to
BoNes 7 Aug @ 11:58pm
How would I go about adding this to an existing XML? I have the Armored Air-tight walls mod and I'm wanting to make the air-tight walls from that mod use the angled walls.
Mad Alkemyst 7 Aug @ 9:48am
Definitely looking forward to this. Using it now, also for hopeful later add-ins! Thanks! :cactuar:
Arlington 7 Aug @ 4:03am
@LongBowDwarf it does not work like that because there is usually stuff on the inside
LongBowDwarf 6 Aug @ 8:25am
hey! Is there any chance we can get diagonal look on the inside?
not only 45 degrees version, but others?
JunoCat運富 6 Aug @ 7:47am
Lovely mod <3
The Blind One 5 Aug @ 11:10pm
Yeah would absolutely love to build rooms on the planet with angled walls so we can really get those circular looking bases going.
Spess Mehreen 5 Aug @ 12:48am
Added. WIll be a nice perk to the modpack.
Will stay subbed if you can get angled structure normally and not dependant on substructure. that would be game changing!

(I want angled walls inside the ship!)
NuanKi  [author] 4 Aug @ 11:13pm
@tanyfilina
This mod can be used on any thingDef, so it absolutely works for regular walls. A hull is essentially just an airtight wall. While the description mentions "hull" a lot, its more for the lore, this mod can be applied to any wall. You'll still need to use a substructure for now, but I'm actively working on an update to allow angled walls to be drawn on normal terrain as well.
tanyfilina 4 Aug @ 9:43pm
Would be nice if it could be used for regular walls in the colony. The way this mod does it, theyy all would be considered as hulls, right?
StormFather 4 Aug @ 9:24pm
Seems like a great idea
