This ones probably not working entirely correctly since UI Overhaul has updated ill try and get to updating it eventually but lifes a bitch lol

@Wairui In the planet_view.gui file there is a containerWindowType entry with the name planet_demographics_entry
under that is a containerWindowType named portrait
delete the iconType entry from this bit and itll apply the same fix this mod does
It should be around line 4350~ in the base games files, modded versions will probably be different

I dont mind maintaining a bunch of these ive just been too busy with irl stuff to actually do all the mod work i want to do

It appears to me that each mod that modifies even a few lines of code, need to be saved as the entire complete file which replaces any other Planet UI file. Perhaps could you provide the line edits that remove the portraits which I can then use to replace the equivalent lines in another file? In my case 'More and Scrollable Building Slots for Zones' https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3486446795 which is an elegant mod that would pair nicely with your also elegant solution. @Cat-Lunatic It means using Irony Mod Manager to merge all of your active mods into one folder/archive.

@Xenon I have this issue in completely unmodded games, mods arnt the only source of this lag.

What does that mean, Xenon?

Apparently merging all mods fix the performance problem with it.

i really hope paradox fixes this source of lag before i have dozens of these to maintain lol
