@BakerBochMod maybe, i still have a lot on my plate right now in terms of IV2 modding
MrBean 16 Aug @ 5:39pm
Hey,Just a wondering — would you consider making a mod in the future that further improves weapon control? I’d be really excited to try it!
Rey Schultz 17 Jun @ 9:15pm
Omg you fixed the .45 ACP thing! I didn't even notice. Thank you. ☺️
koji ™  [author] 8 Jun @ 2:01am
@Paul I will take a look

How enemies react to suppressed shotguns in IV2 is odd compared to other suppressed weapons, I made the shot noise 41M for most shotguns with a suppressor, and it feels inconsistent.

I might make a subsonic buckshot load for 12 GA and 20 GA and see if that will counter it.

@koji ™ I don't really know in terms of data or anything, all I know is I've tried using a suppressed Auto 5 a few times and a handful of enemies always come running from a fair distance away (off screen), while the 870 seems to be heard occasionally by someone in an adjacent room, rather like a pistol, but can otherwise be used stealthily quite reliably. Is there a way I can test it to get some kind of useful metric?
koji ™  [author] 7 Jun @ 4:23pm
@Paul hi there, how much louder is it than the 870?
Paul 7 Jun @ 2:10pm
Hey I am using QS Arcade and really enjoying it but for some reason it seems like the Browning Auto 5 20ga. is louder than the Remington 870 when both are using suppressors? Is this intentional? They both seem to have similar stats on the suppressor with this mod running but the in-game result in terms of what enemies can hear seems quite different. I have tried with different ammo types as well and it doesn't seem to change the outcome

Update out for QS and QS Arcade Mode:

- Fixed .45 ACP Match rounds not having the same buff as normal .45 ACP (this wasn't a bug, but rather a big oversight i never noticed until now, big thanks to @Instructor)
koji ™  [author] 3 Jun @ 12:12am
@Instructor you are correct, I missed on giving 45 ACP match the buff as well. I will push a hotfix soon, thank you again!
koji ™  [author] 3 Jun @ 12:07am
@Instructor hi, ill take a look, thanks for the report!
Instructor 2 Jun @ 11:57pm
Hey man, great mod but it doesnt work on 45 ACP Match ammo, even tho normal ones count the mod
koji ™  [author] 17 Apr @ 12:08am
@ᚠᛖᚾᚱᛁᛋᚢᛚᚠᚱ ᛋᚲᚨᚱᚱ of course, if you want you can join the games official discord, there's a channel dedicated to modding, and it also might be easier to reach me or anyone else if you have questions.
Sergal Augustine 16 Apr @ 10:02pm
@koji thank you, appreciate it.
koji ™  [author] 16 Apr @ 7:44pm
@ᚠᛖᚾᚱᛁᛋᚢᛚᚠᚱ ᛋᚲᚨᚱᚱ hi there, basically you open IV2's .exe file with something like winRAR as all of the game's data is stored in the .exe itself. You then use something like luaJIT decompiler so you can actually read the contents of the .lua files.
Sergal Augustine 16 Apr @ 3:33pm
Curious, im thinking of doing a similar mod, how did you go about extracting information from the game like the ammo.config data?
koji ™  [author] 24 Mar @ 8:59am
@Macus1968 do you have the original version installed alongside this one? You are only supposed to have one at a time
MrBean 23 Mar @ 10:43pm
The mod didn't crash. Although the stats of the silenced firearms have been decreased, however... the actual effect is still the same as the original version.
koji ™  [author] 23 Mar @ 10:41pm
@Macus1968 if you have the crashlog you can just put it in the comment section here.
koji ™  [author] 23 Mar @ 10:04pm
@Macus1968 if it's crashing send the crashlog and I can take a look
MrBean 23 Mar @ 10:00pm
It didn't work.
Yeah
koji ™  [author] 23 Mar @ 9:39pm
@Macus1968 how so? is it crashing?
MrBean 23 Mar @ 4:30pm
mod is broken
koji ™  [author] 19 Mar @ 9:06am
@Snake Foreskin the difference between normal and arcade is about 5-10% depending on what it is, I initially had the stats here, maybe later today if i have free time I will repost the specific stats.

and mod changes are reflected within in game stats, you should see that the noise radius different than vanilla
Snake Foreskin 19 Mar @ 8:44am
So what's the difference between the normal and arcade version? I tried using it and found the suppressed + subsonic radius still pretty high. Or do the in-game stats not reflect the mod changes?
Other than that, awesome idea, always felt like using suppressed weaponry was a bit too punishing in the base game (yeah, I'm a filthy casual, sue me)
