Easiest way to fix the issues the SkeetIR is having when being used as a clip on would be tunable POI values that the user can tune to match the optic being used with the thermal. Not sure how the thermal display is achieved in-game; but if theres a way to adjust the values of the display position in millimeters or something on an x and y axis in the space of the optic, itd allow you to "zero" the thermal to the optic no matter if its an lpvo or red dot/ magnifier. Obviously, I have no idea what the limitations are in your creating this mod or how any of it might work. Great mod though, definitely my favorite. I just wish there were more digital zoom modes on the SkeetIR you can toggle through so you can get a true 1x zoom, just so you have the option to not always be zoomed in 24/7

The issue with the SkeetIR seems to be with the zeroing; the aiming point in the game is like using a red dot sight with a five-foot height over bore but setting the impact point at 25 meters.

Afaik the SkeetIR changing the point of impact with magnified scopes is realistic behaviour, and is caused by the optic not lining up vertically with the centre of the SkeetIR. So the easiest way to fix this IMO would be to have some way of adjusting the height of the SkeetIR. From the testing I've done there are no vanilla combinations of optics and risers that will make them line up properly.

Hey, the wall hack issue still exists.
But thanks for working on it. Note that I noticed it on 747 map (hosted a game, invited friends). Using NVG.

I updated the mod and from what I could test with Host Game, it seems to be fixed. If that's still an issue, please let me know so I can take another look at it. Thanks for the patience and support in the mean time!

How to use Skeet IR: You need to find the "attachment menu" and create a key bind for it (I used the center mouse "click"). Once you've created the bind for the attachment menu, while in game, click on the attachment menu; it will bring up a radial menu where you can select to "Flip Skeet IR".

Now that I've figured out how to select the Skeet IR, i just need to find the best optic combination for it. I'll take any suggestions!

@L34D F4RM3R Yep, but since we don't have NVG's in the SDK I need to test everything in-game, which is very time consuming since I need to repackage the mod, override it, close the SDK, open the game and open a map just to see if my changes worked at all... Opening the SDK usually takes some minutes, so there's that too...

Hopefully I can find a fix for it soon

@kilo best combo I have found is the raised t2 (or scalarworks t2) and an aimpoint magnifier. it will be slightly offset without the magnifier deployed, but it clean with the 3x.

While using the trijicon and PEQ laser you can clearly see that the reticle of the scope is a little low and aiming for head with it makes it shoot above the head. I recommend trying it with PEQ on training range because you can shoot with head in the center of reticle and it misses and when centering with laser it does not miss.
The SkeetIR is working, but it has a similar problem too. When used with many scopes (for example accupower) for long distances it makes original reticle go a few ticks below, so it would require to aim lower to not miss. With other scopes it can be other way around. Even though I tried to balance them out using different height rails it's not enough to fix the problem.

Nvm, if you just ADS the the thermal and swap to nods, you get wall hacks.

Thanks for the update, but its bugged unfortunately. Under nods, all the enemies are visible, and both the black hot and white hot options are washed out and barely contrast. Probably has to do with nods thing.

Skeet IR does not co-line with any sight, but anyway it is a great development for the game, absolutely game changer, loving it, and reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly looking forward for any future development on this mod:steamthumbsup:
