2. If an Assimilate fails to assimilate a hero, that's likely because there was an issue in a mod hero's programming that it was trying to assimilate. I ran into a couple of these when testing, including at least one Cauldron hero if I recall correctly (I think it was Gyrosaur). If you have the game log, I can tell which hero was the problem and report it.

3. Not sure what could've caused the crash. If it happens again, post the game log, but since you continued the game I think it will have overwritten the part relevant to the crash.

Thanks for playing!

1. For the text on assimilated heroes, I don't think there's anything I can do about that. As far as I can tell, the game assumes that any character card owned by the villain should be formatted like villain character cards, which aren't supposed to have power text. If you try it with Earth Prime heroes, they even have the landscape format like Earth Prime villains. You can right-click Viral's character card to see which assimilated heroes have which text on them.

Okay, started the client again, and hit continue. Game didn't blackscreen itself this time, drew the same assimilation targets as the second run. It didn't freeze the game, but it didn't proceed to do anything after the Assimilation targets either. No first turn actions like the damage, drawing, or healing. Assimilations were Dragon from Parahumans, Quicksilver from Cauldron, Captain Cain from Mythikal, Eldritch, and Captain Cosmic. Best guess is the logic handling one of them is the culprit.

Third time was the charm. Text box was still borked on the assimilated, but the round was good fun.

Had three bits creep up in a very short attempted play.

First bit, not sure how you could deal with it, but the assimilated heroes didn't get the normal visibility box on their card, making the text super hard to read against the full art. That's mostly just a visual thing though and not that big of a deal in the grand scheme. That persisted in both starts.

Second bit, one of the assimilation cards failed to assimilate a hero on my first attempt. It didn't delete itself and I assumed it wouldn't and result in a hard lock so I restarted.

Third bit, got a fresh batch of assimilated heroes, but then the game black screen crashed itself. Again not sure what you'd need to figure that out, or if it was a one-off.

Have the entire workshop downloaded, and it did use several of the modded characters, with 1-2 base game dudes each round. Was playing in Earth-Prime version client.

Thanks! Can you be more specific about the issue with the flip text?

I like this one a lot.

I had an issue where the the flip text of Central Core did not activate.

Should be fixed now

That's not supposed to happen. I probably misnamed one of the files, thanks for letting me know.

I was concerned this one would be difficult, but it ended up being pretty fun.

Who was that cloaked figure in the villain's place on the victory screen though?

Thanks for playing! I finally had time to watch the vod. If by "assimilated targets being counted as heroes" you mean the part where Dr Wells moved next to an assimilated hero, that is correct behavior. "Hero" in that context refers to hero character cards, and the assimilated heroes are still hero cards and hero character cards, despite being villain targets.

yo, this is a really cool villain! I had a couple things not work out quite the way I expected, mostly vis-a-vis the assimilated targets being counted as heroes as well as villain targets.

got a VOD here, the game starts around 28 minutes in: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2299648499

You're welcome. Viral is fun to play against!

Thanks, the Glyph issue is fixed. As it happens, I also programmed Glyph, so I was able to just send over a fix to Tonitrus. The same issue happened if Glyph was the Representative of Earth, so I felt it was worth fixing.

Loving the villain. I did have a funny interaction with Glyph (from Vain Facade), where, because he was in play I had the option of putting all of Viral's cards in facedown- it's such a random occurrence that I wouldn't bother to do anything about it, if I were you.
