Generally I'm a value gamer. I tend not to buy until stuff is pretty old and inexpensive as I have plenty else to do. I have started avoiding online only or heavy multiplayer games as they tend to do a poor job of respecting my time and I know the effort I put in will eventually go poof. Other than that I often get stuff from indie bundles like Humblebundle.com or Indie Gala, Groupees, and Bundle Stars. Screw DailyIndieGame though, they bricked my account for lack of use like they never heard of archiving accounts, losing a ton of keys and my business for life.

Just so much heart infused into a collection of misfit rectangles. Thomas and Bastion both really show the effect a good narrator can have on the telling of a story. The puzzling and platforming is just solid, and doesn't get in the way of the story being told. Love when a game is too short, that means I wanted to keep playing through even at the end. 5/5
